Great place!

Grand Viglas as the name suggests is really grand.Beautiful location with comfortable set up.It is a must experience place atleast for a day .Not to miss the stunning sunsets.The icing on the cake was our drive from Bratislava with gorgeous views ..Hot Jacuzzi and Sauna were relaxing after a long drive .Overall a great stay here for a night .

Breakfast could be better . The castle is so huge with lovely open sitting area ,wish it was maintained well with more greenery and flowers .They have randomly put 2 plants only. Little bit of work can make it way more stunning .There was some stand to covers the benches next to this outdoor sitting ,looked very shabby . Also a lot of animal heads hung there looked brutal but it’s not anything what they chose ,they are all old . Hope the area around doesn’t encourage hunting ..

it’s pretty enough but don’t expect luxury. feels like you’re staying in a medieval times.

staff and cleaning service. 3/4 were non slovaks, when we arrived the receptionist admitted she knew English but preferred not to, so gave all instructions to the one slovak speaker. we’d ask a question in English and shed respond in slovak to the slovak. they don’t do housecleaning during your stay, even if you put the sign up asking for it. the first day we saw they did come in, made the bed like a 5 year old (attached photo) and took out one trash, not the other. we eventually had to go to reception to ask for toilet and empty trash bin during our 4 day stay because house cleaning couldn’t be bothered to refill. we left our room every day at 10am (the check out time), put the sign on to clean, and came back later evening. so there is no logical reason we could see to not clean the rooms.
