Overall, the experience was excellent. The owner has a strong set of values and principles, and the staff clearly follow the same positive approach. Good food, good people, and a good location always create a memorable experience. I wish the entire team the very best, and I will always prefer to stay there whenever possible. The staff was very good and understanding. They even go out of their way to accommodate. For example I wanted tea early in the morning, earlier than when they start serving breakfast. However when I requested the person at the reception, he was kind to make me one.

Large and spacious room; the main reason to stay here is just the location, a very short walk from the bustling 80ft road, and yet in a quiet cul-de-sac where there is no traffic or noise outside.

I guess one is paying a premium mainly for the location; otherwise, this place is pretty overpriced, given that things are quite basic. The single biggest source of discomfort is the noise; most of the rooms are closely clustered around the lobby/reception/dining area, and the soundproofing is essentially non-existent. So there is constant noise and activity from outside. The dining area seems to be particularly noisy, and room 109 where I stayed gets a lot of noise from the kitchen. For some reason they wash the dishes loudly at precisely 1.30am every night, and so your sleep is guaranteed to be disrupted. Cleanliness is also not great, and all other furniture, fittings etc. in the room are OK but nothing particularly nice.
