Rian Hotel

- great location, really close to several train stations. Walking distance from myeongdong and other areas. - great air conditioning - spacious rooms, great storage and wardrobe - pretty clean - not spotless, but not bad! - staff were welcoming and helpful - they booked a taxi to the airport for us and their English was pretty good - good shared facilities, lounge and roof garden - Very close to several different convenience stores. One of which is right outside the hotel (less than 1 minute walk)

- rooms are a little tired and dated - bad sewerage smell from the drains in the sink, because the sink is in the room, not a separate bathroom, this makes the whole room smell with no way to close it off. - no mirror on the dressing table - had to stand at the smelly sink to do hair and makeup.

Simple and no frills, you get what you pay for. The location is very convenient, walking distance to two different metro stations, and just outside the stream. It is tucked away from the main roads, in the middle of its block so you do have to take little side roads/alleys to reach it. There is a convenience store just opposite. There is a lounge area with coffee and a water fountain. There is also a rooftop area with chairs etc.

For the price we paid, there isn't much to complain about.

Nothing bad. I appreciated having access to ice machine and the washer/dryer. Rooftop was nice. Shower was great. Very close to lots of transport.

Our main problem was the room just wasnt very comfy. Not sure why lots of little things together to make it that way. But both my partner and I struggled to sleep (we have stayed in Korea for over a month so it's not a Korean things). When we requested an extra pillow it was declined. Location was awkward, the area itself just a bit bland and no man's land between insadong and meoyongdong.

The location was in close proximity to public transport and some of the cultural significance that I wanted to experience in Korea

I booked a wheelchair accessible room with roll in shower and the room had many short comings. The shower area had no railings or shower chair and the main drain was located in the middle off the room making for very slippery and dangerous conditions. There were insufficient power points to charge my wheelchair and not enough room to transfer to the bed. I would rate the room as non-accessible. The staff were excellent but they seem perplexed at what would make this hotel truly accessible. I did suggest they purchase a shower chair for disabled guests with an outlay of less than 100000 won or hundred dollars.
