Quaint period property in excellent location. Great breakfast freshly cooked with local produce. Lots of homely communal space to relax in .
We Liked our room (no5) but like all upper rooms it was small not an issue for us but if you are 6foot plus don’t go for one of these rooms. It didn’t impact on us and we personally liked our compact space.

Merrijig Inn is certainly a unique place to stay, and a food lover’s heaven. Dinner was superb, and the breakfast had many tempting homemade delights. A bit too early in the year to sit outside and enjoy the garden, but both it and the house were full of charm. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the bed was comfy, the surrounding area quiet, and just a stone’s throw from the quay and riverside walk.
Attic room had low ceilings, and stairs up were a bit steep, so be warned if not particularly agile.
