The view was exceptional

No elevator

Good location, close to the main restaurants. Great view towards the mountain (Caraiman Cross).

Bad smell from the drainage in the bathroom.

Mâncarea foarte buna la preturi mai mult decât acceptabile. Inclusiv la băuturi. Foarte cald in camera .

The location was great. A small climb up the hill to reach the accommodation, but the views were fantastic, and having a balcony with a view was the cherry on the cake. Food was good and we could always find something we liked and it was also suitable to share with our 1.5 year old daughter.

Staff slow at meal times. Slow to come and take an order. Sometimes at breakfast (the time of which was displayed for guests) they were either not present, having not arrived yet in some cases, and you had to search for them, asking reception where they were only to be told 'Yes yes, they're coming', almost as if we had disturbed them. Or they were preoccupied on their phone behind the bar or were outside having a cigarette. The restaurant area was never busy when we went to eat - we ate breakfast and dinner there. Maximum 3 or 4 tables, including ours. The service was always slow. In hospitality guests should always come first, before phones or cigarette breaks - and I say this having 20 years experience of working in hospitality. Bathroom door in our room did not close, which meant we could not restrict access to our 1.5 year old - to stop her playing on the tiles and in the shower which had a step which could be dangerous for a little one. A lot of instructions for guests (on the back of the room door) about what is expected of us and what we should or should not do. Fire safety, emergency evacuation policy and balcony safety are of course paramount. However, having an enormous list of what was expected of us and what we were or were not allowed to do, felt quite unwelcoming, ESPECIALLY when the quality of the accommodation was not perfect (bathroom door). Perhaps the accommodation has had experience in the past of people abusing the property.. but still it felt like instructions were left for us everywhere. The bedside table had a note telling us we were not allowed to move the bed so that we did not damage either the floor or the bed. The cost of the bed was written as a warning to us. I get it, you don't want people to damage furniture, but officious notes around the place are not conducive to a welcoming and relaxing stay.
