If you're looking for a clean, inexpensive place, off the beaten path like I was, then this could be your place. I recently learned afterwards of the Google translate app that you speak into and have real-time translations. It would have been super helpful to have had it then just to have made communication easier, and better for the host who was super gracious.

Lovely view of Asti as we ate our dinner while the sun set. Favilla is a splendid host although she has no English. Her food is lovely, most sourced from her own garden or very nearby, The rooms are simple but spotlessly clean with large bathrooms.
You have to bear in mind that there is no air conditioning and keep shutters and windows closed!

Posizione centrale per visitare il Monferrato e allungando leggermente le Langhe. Alle porte di Asti, in zona tranquilla immersa nel verde, camera dotata di terrazzino vista collina. Colazione semplice ma buona, con aggiunta di freschi cornetti. Ma soprattutto il piacere di aver conosciuto la proprietaria, che mi ha fatto sentire come fossi a casa mia, con piacevoli chiaccherate, tanto da allungare il soggiorno.
Mancanza aria condizionata, ma lasciando le due finestre aperte, dotate di zanzariera, c'era un minimo di circolazione.

Das La Locanda di Valbella wird von einer älteren Dame geführt die sich mit großem Herz rührend um ihre Gäste kümmert. Ein gutes Frühstück, eine große Terrasse mit weiten Blick in die Natur und vielen Besichtigungstipps für die Umgebung haben wir Ruhe und Entspannung gefunden. Vielen Dank für alles!
