The position was excellent, especially the view to the old town and the Adriatic coast. Loved having nibbles on the balcony watching the sun set. The apartment had everything we needed. It is on a steep hill so be prepared that you will need to climb and descend many many stairs

We were very happy to have chosen this location which has everything you need. A spectacular view of the Old City and Adriatic ocean, and very close distance to all local attractions. The host was very friendly and attentive

Perfect location, beautiful view, spacious and functional apartment, and wonderful hosts

Location and the view is absolutely perfect. Close enough to the old city and the beach, but just far enough away from the busyness. We used public bus for everything and the bus stop is super close and convenient. The apartment we stayed in is the only one I believe that doesn’t have a bedroom with the balcony. But it was really spacious, the apartment is so clean and comfortable, very functional and we appreciated the washing machine in the bathroom. Kitchen had all the supplies we needed, and it was a perfect size. All the furniture is clean and comfortable, and goes with the style of the house. Plenty of space to put all of our stuff away and have 0 clutter. Other reviewers mentioned “outdated” furniture, but we had no complaints, comfort is much more important than the color of the cushions for us. The hosts are very nice and welcoming, their housecleaning crew is great as well. Bottle of wine with some grapes and sweets that was left for us was so appreciated after a long travel from the US. There is a mini-split AC that actually can cool down the apartment quite nicely, but we didn’t use it at all, except when the housecleaning in the middle of our stay left it on and we came back to nicely cooled apartment on the hottest day of our stay. But, we kept the windows and balcony doors open to cool off the space, and with cool nights and evening breeze, we even got a little cold at night a few times. I would not suggest to rely on the AC at night, unless there is a heatwave and there is no breeze, which is not that typical. To sum it up, we loved it and we will definitely only stay here when we come back to Dubrovnik (and hopefully the hotel renovation below will be done so the tall crane is not a part of the Dubrovnik view)

The air conditioning was not hooked up properly but it was manageable. Little far to walk to old city, the stairs are a killer. Get a taxi if you don’t want to go up and down 192 stairs.

Super friendly hosts and very helpful. They could not do enough for us. The appartment was clean and spacious with plenty of towels for all five of us which were changed throughout the week. 10 minute walk to old town and 5 minute o hotel down road where you can use excellent pool and restaurant facilities. View from balcony like a picture postcard. Fabulous property made for a wonderful family holiday we shall never forget

Not a dislike but steep steps down to hotel and old town. OK for us with older children but may not be suitable for families with smaller children and pushchairs. Keeps you fit daily!

Would have liked a little more equipment in the kitchen to help with cooking simple meals - e.g. was no can opener, grater or colander - but we were able to manage with what was provided.

Very enjoyable stay with a big surprise to see firework!

The views from apartment was fabulous and exactly as shown online. The host greeted us and gave us a bottle of wine as welcome gift, which we highly appreciated. The location was out of the most busy area, but still convenient as it takes only 5 mins' walk to a small supermarket and bakery. The walk to old town requires 10-15 minutes with 120 steps. Extremely lucky as we saw firework on Dubrovnik Sumner Festival, just from the balcony!

The interior of apartment, including furniture, beddings, are a bit aged. Everything is still functioning though.

Our stay has to be one of the best holidays we've had.

The location was perfect. We enjoyed being just far enough away from the busy part, although just a short walk to the old town. The view was just perfect and we could not have asked for a better apartment.

Could have done with slight softer pillows. Apart from that the apartment was excellent. We plan to Tavel back in a couple of years and will hope to stay at the very same apartment.

Amazing location, view and host.

The view and location were perfect for us and the host was extremely kind and thoughtful. We had a bottle of wine and snacks when we arrived and then gifted with grapes and plums from her garden. the view from the deck is unbelievable. We liked being outside the walled city as it’s quite busy and crowded in there. This location was very peaceful. There is a market down the street for easy access to food and beverages. The kitchen is small if you plan to cook.

The location to the old town was great. We walked to and from everyday. There were a lot of steps but we like the exercise . The owners were delightful. They had a bottle of wine waiting for us and brought us grapes and plums from the garden. I would definitely recommend this place.

Very nice apartment

Ms Maria and her husband are so kind and friendly. Very beautiful view from room and all electric appliance are ready to use including air conditioner.

A little bit far from center of town, so if you have luggage, prefer to use taxi or Uber to check in. But you can walk to old town. Or use rental car from airport.

Amazing views from the 2 large balconies. The old town is very busy and this is a nice peaceful place to come home to.it is about 15 minutes walk to old town, it is uphill coming home and there are stairs but we didn't mind. The owner is lovely and very helpful.
