The minute you walk through the front door of this hotel you think am I in the right place, up the staircase to the rooms is like a family home with lovely decorated walls and wallpaper and quirky bits of furniture, our room faced out to Main Street , with a 4 poster bed with the most comfiest mattress and Egyptian cotton duvet , again decorated to a very unusual standard for a hotel more like my own bedroom lots of beautiful bits of furniture to finish off the dressing of the room , especially the very comfortable sofa , the bathroom again was not like a hotel bathroom, , working shutters on the windows for extra darkness , we went to wedding got drunk came home slept amazing woke up still a bit drunk, went downstairs for breakfast to be met by our host , the amazing host by the way , single handed runs the hotel cleans cooks , well when you meet her Donna will make you feel like you’ve known her for ages, , you walk in to dining room , WOW decorated unlike any hotel furnished like no hotel , Donna has done up this (boutique) hotel beautifully and you can tell she takes much pride in the way it looks all to her own personal fine little touches, , I had a peak through doorway to her kitchen , again it’s like a big family home , Donna the host owner treats you like family, cooks a wonderful breakfast, with the table decorated like we were having a family party , it’s just amazing
If I write anything on this section I’ve got to admit, it would be untrue , probably only thing I disliked was leaving to come home

Would have been 10 out of 10 but I did not realise there were two flights of stairs to climb.

Host was very friendly and accommodating. Room (and bed) was comfortable and breakfast was really good too.
Really interesting old bulding too.
Nothing really. Bathroom was small and sink tiny, but I could live with it.

The breakfast was acceptable & the staff were friendly, amiable & courteous
One had to gain entrance by a large straight onto the pavement door which at the time was very much hindered by works directly outside the building.

the breakfast was very good the first morning but unfortunately the second morning it was so bad I couldnt eat it
The scrambled egg was in edible I asked for white bread toast and got brown so didnt eat any of it. I asked for a yoghurt.

Amazing building, superbly appointed and our room was huge, homely, relaxing, comfortable, everything you could need. Many original features that Donna has restored to their former glory and functionality. Location to the amenities and the local countryside really good. Breakfast was very good and cooked to order with fresh ingredients.
That we were only staying one night, wished it was longer.
It can be noisy on a weekend, but that’s to be expected with its location on the High Street. Ear plugs were thoughtfully provided!

Warm welcome from our host Donna. The room and en-suite were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order. All in all our one night stay was comfortable.
Parking was on the road, we were lucky to find a spot directly opposite the property. The neighbouring bar did hold a karaoke night which carried on until 1am which after a long day we could have done without.

Exceptionally clean and the decor is wonderful.
The room was impressive with a lovely comfortable 4-poster bed, a lovely settee and a spacious bathroom.
Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful
Private car park at the back of the property.
Highly recommend and we would stay again if we are in this area.

The location was fab and the spa was lovely.
When we initially walked in, the lobby had an unusual smell - it smelled a bit like a toilet, sadly. Once we got to our room it was OK, however there were a number of stains on our carpet - it didn't feel very clean. The shower was a little tempermental and the hairdryer in the room packed-in while I was half way through using. Someone did come up with a replacement, but took them half an hour, by which point we had to leave for dinner. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the breakfast staff were quite slow. I was expecting more given the price we paid. The spa was nice, although we won't be coming back.

Perfect location, super quirky interior in an old Bank. Donna is super friendly and very helpful, she was flexible, quick to help and assist and a good laugh!

Room was great however you need to navigate the stair case (3+ flights) to get to it. We stayed on a Saturday night and due to the street facing location the room was quite noisy until the early hours of the morning.
Stairs, street noise

Everything, what a lovely find on the high street, good parking, beautifully decorated and kitted out for everything you need, including iron, iron and ironing board, right down the wine glasses. The breakfast room is just lovely, as was the very freshly made cooked breakfast, Carissa was so welcoming and fun, would not hesitate to rebook to recommend xx

Room was spot on and the guest house itself was very clean, well decorated and in a very central location. We parked right outside. The breakfast room is stunning and the cooked breakfast was spot on. The star of the show was Donna, the owner, who was absolutely fabulous and couldn't do enough to make our short stay as comfortable as possible.

We went up for a wedding and stayed 3 nights at The Bank. Situated conveniently right on the High Street in an old converted bank. Donna, the owner, went above and beyond to make our stay at The Bank a real pleasure. Our 4 poster bed was so comfortable and cosy and our room clean and stylish. The breakfast was delicious - the eggs fresh from Donna's own hens. There were even little touches like cutlery left out for guests own takeaways and a full length mirror to check yourself on your way out. Well done, Donna. Would love to stay again.

Staff very friendly. Breakfast was excellent.
Very difficult to find the entrance on the Main Street. I could open the sash window but not keep it open. So the room was airless and far too warm. With a winter duvet and a soft mattress, I did not have a very good sleep.

The property was beautifully decorated. Very well stocked with the little things that may be needed - a sewing kit, iron, lovely snacks, BIG coffee/tea cups, tissues, good quality soap and moisturiser etc. really thoughtful touches. Donna is very friendly and communicated well with me prior to arrival. She made an excellent recommendation for somewhere for us to eat and it was extremely good.
Situated on a high street with on street parking and quite a good range of shops. A delightful little find - we would definitely recommend and would return again.
There wasn't a lift, we didn't mind at all and Donna offered to carry our luggage up the stairs. The property might not be suitable for less able bodied people but we loved it!

Upgraded to four poster room at no extra cost. Bright airy room, comfy sofa and bed, good shower. Owner Donna set some plates and cutlery out for me, when I said I was popping out for a takeaway Chinese. Able to store back inside by main door. Central in Hawick but still quiet.
Green tea bags in room. Though I didn’t ask for any
