It was a beautiful and comfortable room. It was a bit odd for me as a pilgrim because we need to do laundry and find food and those 2 things were not available. I wasn’t even sure if I could dry things outside so I just dried everything in my room. The house also wasn’t quiet in the afternoon that day so it wasn’t great for napping.
It was by far the most expensive booking I had on the Camino. I couldn’t have stayed in Lires without it and it would have impacted my journey. There wasn’t even coffee in the morning. It was surreal for me. I also felt like they didn’t bother with me because I didn’t speak Spanish. I speak French and Italian and understand a lot of Spanish but I didn’t feel super welcome.
