Apartaments Les Terrasses del Tarter

Great place to stay. It was perfect for hiking.

Spacious apartment with huge terrace and enough rooms for all of 7 people.

We had no onsite parking, however all of them had private garages that came alomg woth the apartments and we applied for one. There was no basic stuff supply in the kitchen, such as olive oil, salt or pepper, sugar, some coffee capsules maybe, at least for the first morning would be nice.

Booked this accommodation about 6 weeks before our trip - our choices were limited. The reviews for here were mixed; some suggested it was way out of the town, some suggested the flats were in a state of disrepair, etc etc. For us (a group of 10 mid 20s medium experience skiiers) we thought this place was better than expected. The key box was at the reception which is right at the main roundabout in the town (where all the buses drop you off). The town is built in terraced streets and the 4 blocks of flats were just one terrace up (granted with cases it was a little walk but no more than a few 100m). The flats were basic but comfortable and clean. They are not advertised as luxury (and going by the other flats in the town i think the standard is about average if not just above). From our flat we woke up to beautiful views of the valley and hills. The gondola station was 5-10min walk (we did rent a locker at the gondola station to leave our stuff so we didn't have to drag it back (8 euro a day or something so no biggie). Opposite the flats are 3 or 4 nice restraints and a mini market down the street too - this is not as expensive as their own reviews make out (we are from UK and its similar prices to what we pay at home). All in all, would book this accommodation again and recommend it

wifi kept cutting out but the staff were pretty responsive in coming round and sorting it, although it did break 2 or 3 times during the week. The kitchen isn't kitted out well, a lot of other reviews suggest this and i do agree. We have 6 glasses, 4 mugs, 4 plates and 4 bowls for our group of 5. We were always washing dishes. They could do with a few extras in each flat. I would also say you probably would struggle to cook meals in the flat. It has the absolute basics officially but no chopping boards, only one pan etc. But for us, this wasn't a major problem as we planned to eat out.

1) smell of cigarettes in apt, hallway, entryway - very very strong 2) quality of furnishings - rickety, old, ugly. bed swayed when you sat on it, table was uneven and ancient, sofa old and uncomfortable, cabinets were silly. some kitchen stuff ok - some falling apart (pot, knife) Needs fresh paint. the place just seemed very dated. 3) WiFi is USELESS. it works amazing in the rental office while impossible to open apps or mail in the apt. i had planned to do some work in the evenings and it was 100% impossible- let alone imagine to stream something for entertainment! 3) distance to lift for walking is very far and steep uphill at end of day
