Castle View Apartments

A quiet location. Good quality kitchen items. Lovely new modern shower room with reasonable quality fittings. a decent sized table to eat at with cushions on the chairs. WiFi was good enough. No TV - what a blessing. Nearby bins for rubbish disposal - emptied frequently so not smelly. Shops nearby and access through to the sea front usually allowed to prevent you having to walk right round the back road. Pretty frontage with the bouganvillea in full flower and grapes growing over the nicely screened washing line area (sweet and ripe but not seedless!)

Lack of sufficient toilet rolls. Rough sheets on the bed. Not enough black out, as previous drop down shutters had been broken and not replaced. Air con only in bedroom not elsewhere. No replacement bags for the bins. Would have liked either an oven or grill or microwave. No room servicing, though extra linen given ahead of time and mop buckets, brooms etc were available for DIY cleaning. Tatty notices on the outside of the building left over from several years ago when Olympic holidays had exclusive use of Castle View. Lights outside permanently on at night - it was possible to read in the kitchen area (single bed) even with the curtains carefully drawn closed. Lack of fire instructions visible. Not having a freezer area in the fridge - only a rectangular open ice box. Some people might not like there being no TV.

Das Apartment ist sehr sauber und geräumig. Im Schlafzimmer gibt es luft- und etwas lichtdurchlässige Schiebefensterläden zur Abdunklung. Die Matratzen sind sehr bequem. Überall sind Insektengitter, was sehr angenehm ist. Das neu renovierte Bad ist toll. Parken ist direkt vor dem Haus möglich. In wenigen Minuten ist man zu Fuß am Kies-/Sandstrand oder mit dem Mietwagen an der wunderschönen Agathi Beach. An der Strandpromenade gibt es viele Restaurants. Wir fanden die Lage in der zweiten Reihe perfekt, da sie viel ruhiger als direkt an der Strandpromenade ist. Überhaupt ist Charaki ein idealer Ausgansgort, um relativ schnell alle Orte auf der Insel zu erreichen. Die Mutter des Eigentümers und seine Cousine, die sich vor Ort um das Haus kümmern, waren sehr nett.

Die fehlenden Rollläden im Wohnzimmer und die sehr helle Dauerbeleuchtung im Außenbereich. Das WLAN war manchmal schwach.

Location, cleanliness, well equipped with all basics needed.

It would make a big difference if there was a washing machine available. Even just one for all the apartments to share. It could be located in the room under the stairs or where the washing is hung out.
