Tenuta Del Poggio Antico

Wow!! What a place. Left a lasting impression on us and we will certainly be back. The staff were exceptional, friendly and happy to offer advice on places to eat / things to do and helped us with taxis & restaurant bookings etc. The hotel had a feel of a family home and the staff played a huge part of this. We stayed in one of the two villa style rooms and were blown away by the size, authentic feel and cleanliness of the space. The view from the pool / garden area was incredible, and was worth the short (free) shuttle ride or taxi ride into town for the peacefulness and tranquillity of the area. Great choice of drinks, amazing breakfast each day and reasonable prices. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

I wanted somewhere chilled and laid back to relax and this was the perfect choice. The accommodation was fabulous, super comfy room with a beautiful view. The pool area was gorgeous so well designed. There were also lots of little spots to sit in the garden. I knew the location was in the hills and that was perfect. The hotel shuttle was great and it was great being met from the ferry in Forio. Breakfast was very good, as were the other meals so had. Staff were so friendly and welcoming.

I would have liked to have seen prices for lunch and on occasions there were no staff in the bar area.

The staff was wonderful, property lovely and we enjoyed the peaceful environment. Excellent breakfast and coffee service, I loved my morning cappuccino. The bed was comfortable, and water pressure was good.

The only drawback is the location - which is also part of the allure. I wasn’t expecting the shuttle schedule to be as structured as it was… you couldn’t request a ride to Forio, you had to go on one of the scheduled drop off or pick up times.
