Nice place. More affordable then rooms closer to town but got a cottage which had kitchen. No AC but got cool at night. Food was good at restaurant and people were really nice. Awesome little private beach to swim in the carribean next to the room. Easy walk to main town and buses easily usable. Carricou is an amazing place.
No ac and kitchen stuff a little old.

The location is beautiful, with a view of the Caribbean Sea & a lovely veranda to sit during the day to view the boats, see the twinkling lights at nigh, etc. The property has a lovely garden area, complete with a covered porch area and a path to a tiny rocky shore & very tiny "beach-like" area. The flower petals on the bed & ping-pong table on the porch were a nice touch. Having breakfast was helpful. Choices were limited but the food was good and filled our stomachs. We laughed at our whimsical waitress (also the housekeeper) at her question "how would you like eggs cooked?', only to be told after making several suggestions that the only options were scrambled or boiled. The owner/manager is an amazing chef who provided some choices of meals for dinner (6-9 pm). The food was delicious, very fresh & cooked on order. I am a vegetarian & there were no menu options on the blackboard choices. However, the chef made delicious and tasty meals for me. Others in our party raved about the seafood choices. The evening staff were attentive and friendly. The dinner is an extra add-on for price and not included in the room rate. You needed to state the time you were coming for dinner, but the staff is flexible if you had to change your time. For the first night, we were the only people in the open air/upstairs restaurant. The second night there were other people dining at the same time. The location is very peaceful, catering well to those who want a serene stay, time to read a book, reflect & can easily entertain themselves. I felt like I was stepping back in time to an "Ernest Hemingway" type of accommodation, as described in his stories about the Caribbean/Key West. The hotel is quaint. There were closets/cabinets for storage in the rooms. The venue has a self-contained cabin, with a kitchen, bedroom area and bathroom.
The issues may be the result of recovery from damage caused by Hurricane Beryl in 2024. There was no hot water for the shower and we were uncertain about the safety of drinking the water from the tap. The rooms were provided with standing fans as the overhead fan in our room was not working. There is no air-conditioning. This was a bit of a challenge with 30 degree Celsius weather and the standing fans were not very effective. Mosquito nets were over the beds to protect from insects. My husband, who is 6 feet tall found these to be uncomfortable as his feet were constantly in contact with the netting at night. Friends, who were in a different room had the netting fall down on them. The toilet in our room was a challenge, with a foot pedal to flush. The pedal had to be returned to a very specific spot to stop the flow of water. Unfortunately, it overflowed as we were just "off the mark" of the specific spot. Staff were pleasant as they cleaned the bathroom and bedroom floors. The location and the venue is very serene, except for neighbourhood dogs and roosters who were excellent alarms for early rising. This is not something the hotel can control, however, but I felt was worth mentioning.
