Wonderful view over the old town, a good size for a family of four, quiet, and very reasonably priced for Vrsar in August. What stood out most was the owner: when we told her what wasn't working, she responded within a day and had two new air conditioning units bought and fitted before the end of our stay. Smaller repairs were dealt with straight away too. That kind of response is not something you can take for granted.

The apartment is dated and would benefit from renovation — a missing bathroom tile, a cracked kitchen worktop, a loose toilet, several missing light bulbs, and neither air conditioner working on arrival. Almost all of it was put right during our stay, and the new air conditioning made a real difference, though it did take a few days. The one thing that remains is a damp patch with some mould on a bedroom ceiling, which looks like a roof repair for the off-season. Worth knowing in advance: check-in is at the owner's restaurant in town rather than at the apartment, and communication runs by phone rather than through the platform.
