    Loved the location and the spa. Rooms were large but a little outdated - but really enjoyed our stay.

    We got the room at a discounted rate. I wouldn't want to pay full rate for this room. A bit outdated and lacking in some basic amenities. Room lighting is very poor. Location is excellent and secure covered parking was great.

    Other then not having Seaviews which i requested and the cars late at night up and down the street..which I acknowledge businesses cant do much about, the stay was good I would stay again. Walking distance to clothes shops, bars and restaurants is about 1/2 hour. Great to have some food places by the beach though eg: coffee club

    Maybe sometime in the past this place was well sought. Now, it looks tired and old. Smells odd, couldn't find any facilities and wasn't told of any by the staff. My room on the bottom was dark all day, there was construction work outside. I shower was designed for a handicapped person and looked more like a public bathroom you might find in a council gym than one in a hotel. They charge exorbitant rates for rubbish..this is the state of most hotels and motels in NZ now unfortunately.
