Perfect location. Everything within walking distance. 10 minutes to Sao Bento station. Cheap bars, cafes and restaurants nearby. Great facilities and super friendly staff. Can book tours or get advice for exploring city. Exceptionally clean. Big kitchen with cooking facilities. Also Tupperware to store food. Own cheap bar with piano and card/ boardgames. Breakfast ok as one off but plenty other places around. Free tea and coffee.
Nothing. But if you can’t sleep with noise avoid the front facing rooms. I didn’t mind at all and still got plenty of sleep.

The whole hostel from the ground floor reception/lounge area to the top floor was immaculately laid out and had a very charming aesthetic - particularly with the views from the balconies overlooking the square with the blossom trees. The staff were excellent - Clarice made me feel so comfortable and was happy to assist with anything. Everything was available on the doorstep due to the location and meeting good people was what made it more of an enjoyable experience.

Location is fantastic
The toilets and the kitchen are not kept clean at all. The personnel is not taking care of the customers. The receptionist who was there in the afternoon/ night believes that if you are a pilgrim you should be used to a low range service.
