DON Boutique Hotel Montevideo

The room was lovely, the parking was great, but the best thing about this hotel is the people. They were so friendly and so accommodating, thank you!!!!

This hotel is in a super convenient location just a 10-minute walk from the Buquebus ferry terminal. It is across the street from the Mercado del Puerto, with its many excellent restaurants. The Ciudad Viejo district is right there to explore. The facility is small, well kept up, and friendly.

The room was nice and away from street noise but quite small. The neighborhood appears sketchy at night but is quite lively and interesting during the day.

Location is wonderful, at the center of Ciudad Vieja, right across from Mercado del Puerto, walkable distance from Plaza de la Independencia. Room was comfortable and easy to access. The staff was very friendly, the hotel looks very good, very organized, it's evident a lot of care is put into the appearance.

It's the little details that go into making an experience from ok to great. For example, the quilts in the room had the smell of several different perfumes, they appeared not washed. For several nights, other guests were very noisy in the outside the rooms doors at night, slamming doors, talking very loudly, the staff did not intervene to keep them quiet. My last night there was what sounded like hammering noises in the room above me for 45mins., if there was construction happening, why do it at night? And why not give the guests a heads up?
