Great location for a older women solo traveler

The location was great the fat Buddha made having that 2 for one cocktail so easy…the room was very large great storage

Towels were old…three flights of stairs kept me fit bed a bit hard

Not happy at all

The staff & the location

We had a pool side room Fat Bhudda end, the staff did let us know they played music there of a night but noise cancelling ear plugs didn’t stop the thumping in our room. Er moved rooms and had to pay extra $10 per night. They said it was slightly bigger & had a coffee machine meaning a Kettle!!! The room stunk of sewerage horribly & they did not change our sheets for the entire stay. They were suppose to spray for insects every Thursday did not see that happen once. We all got bitten by Tomcat beetles leaving horrible sores & they are very painful. Also there are Rats running everywhere even all over the deck chairs. A big group of family checked in and they were horrible, bombing and diving into the pools so no one else could sit out by the pool, we complained but I never seen them get told off once! Many guests had to checkout and find another place to stay! Terrible experience for my holiday!

Limited pool lounges that were taken every day by the same people. Need to implement the towel removal system - if you're not on the lounge for 30- 45 mins, your towel is removed, allowing someone else to use it. Our room smelt strongly of napthalene.

The staff were very helpful and the reception staff spoke good English. The room was big.

Make you you request not to have an adjoining room (unless you need it). My first night was terrible due to the noise from the next room. i asked to move and the staff were very helpful. No hand towel in the bathroom. Only one pillow each on the bed (i have read other reviews that say if you ask you can easily get another pillow). The rooms closer to the Fat Buddha Bar would be VERY noisy. Ground floor rooms are noisier than upstairs. Other guests at every selfish with their “use” of the deck chairs. people would put towels out in the morning and a small personal item and then not be there most of the day. The staff could monitor this and remove the items or put a sign out saying if you’re away more than 15minutes you must vacate the chairs. It’s unfair on others.

Baleka was a very pleasant surprise and I’m so happy that we stayed there. We have booked it again.

I didn’t have the breakfast because its locality was so close to all the restaurants in the area. The Locality was the best. The little shop on the premises was managed by a lovely person. Also the Spa staff were so friendly and excellent. The pool was well maintained.

I cannot think of anything I didn’t like. However I’m just glad that we were on the ground floor. If we had the upper floors we would have needed a lift.

The property is in an amazing spot and close to the beach

My room was at the back of the property near the bar and restaurant fat buddah and it was so loud and went every night till 12am minimum so no sleep. I did ask for my room to be changed to the front but unfortunately it wasn’t possible. The cleaning of the rooms was not great and I don’t think they changed my sheets once while I was there. The shower was in a bathtub which I hate and it was very slippery and I even fell over in it which was not pleasant. The front pool was amazing but the back pool needs some work as had sharp tiles on the steps getting into the pool.

Good trip with mates

Good location if it's the area you want to be around. Plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants in walking distance. Plus the feed at Fat buddah was elite.

Perfect for social guests wanting to feel part of a big family of other guests.

As always, Balinese staff are lovely. They attended promptly to requests when things in the room were broken. The mainly Aussie guests were incredibly friendly and every time we stepped out of our room a ‘hi’ or ‘morning’ was said. Lots of the tourists knew other guests from previous stays. We were facing the pool on ground floor so there was … ‘nowhere’ to sit privately. This place is perfect for lonely people who want to make friends on their holidays. Pool was cold and clean. Very deep but the steps along the side were helpful if you needed a landing place. The room was large and had bedside lights. No chair or rack for clothes. Despite being built of concrete, the sound of guests above woke us up every morning.

On arrival many lights didn’t work but were promptly replaced or repaired. The newly renovated bathroom did not have any bench space. Too few power outlets. But we took a power board so that’s a tip for future guests. Too few pool recliners and umbrellas (only 2 umbrellas) for the number of guests. And the ones they had were in need of repair. The bed was a hammock. There is no rack to hang towels. Hanging space is limited and you need to be tall to reach. No chair for sitting or clothing. Sounds of the guests above was clearly heard. No privacy to sit and drink our morning coffee.

Lady running little shop was very kind and welcoming.

Having ground floor room was a downfall, you could hear those above. Rooms were clean however very basic and outdated. Beds needed more pillows and was uncomfortable. Staff where not exactly eager to take your room service order or provide service around pools areas.

We had room 3103 which was on the pool level but just set back a bit, chairs and tables outside the room, steps to the pool and soo quiet being away from the second pool with the pool bar, perfect for us,

We were travelling with two teens , one of whom was paying for his trip so this accommodation was great value for money.

The resort is walking distance to restaurants and shopping and a short walk to the beach. Two pools were great for choice and the ladies in the spa were friendly and accommodating.

I like my sheets to be crisp and white. While I know the sheets were washed on site, I felt like I was laying on fake tanned stained sheets. I used tshirts over my pillow cases.

The hotel sent a driver to pick us up even though it was requested that they not do this (we were travelling with another party), the man sent was rude and puffing on a cigarette the entire time. The staff weren’t very attentive upon arrival. The room was dirty, the towels were dirty and stained when we asked for new towels the ones they brought were stained. The bathroom was disgusting, the shower door would not close. The room itself was up 3-4 flights of stairs. When speaking with staff they were no help. They offered to move us to another room on a lower level for 2 nights at which point they would move us back to the fourth floor, when we enquired further they advised that the room had two single beds. Overall horrible experience. We booked a hotel elsewhere and left after one night. Upon check out the staff just told us we wouldn’t be able to get a refund through them and would have to go through booking.com. But of course looking through there’s no option anywhere to request this. We also didn’t take pictures of the disgusting state of the room/hotel as we just wanted to leave.

Easy handy location

I requested a twin room They said all book out n gave me a double I was with a male friend That’s just a friend And they would not accomodate us But get this my friend paid n got a separate room Which had a king and a day bed They could have easily transferred us to this one room As well my friend offered sleep on the mattress on the floor in the double room They said no room for mattress When I check in the room There was plenty of room Next day approach n spoke to another staff member Which ask y we not been offered the studio instead I said exactly Anyway they try to resolve this but by now we over it n justt want to enjoy holiday n not play musical rooms
