Monasterio De Piedra

We enjoyed our stay at the Monasterio de Piedra, for the historical aspects and unique opportunity to spend the night at such a place of cultural patrimony. It was nice to be lodging so close to the natural park, and the spa circuit was nice. The bar El Granjero offered snacks and drinks at reasonable prices.

The room we stayed in was a bit small, only offered twin beds, and smelled a bit musty upon arrival (ameliorated by opening the door to our large balcony looking out on the pool). Dining at breakfast was pretty basic.

The location and surroundings were so very beautiful - outstandingly different and so peaceful, clean and comfortable The outdoor pool was perfect!

We booked the eat dinner at the hotel’s main restaurant- a set 3 course menu. This was possibly the worst dining experience we have ever had. The staff were rude and unhelpful. The food quality shockingly bad. We would return as it’s beautiful but we would not dine at hotel, we would get to the nearby town where there are other restaurants.

I loved the property, monastery park is an absolute treasure.

the absolute worst thing about this place are the workers and false marketing. We are a young couple and we were to celebrate our second anniversary. We booked this place for two reasons: spa and park and thank to false presentation here on booking we could not enter the spa because they said it doesn’t form the part of hotel and it was already booked for the day. They said that you need to reserve a place and it is an extra cost - small detail that was nowhere to be found when we booked our room. When we came to the spa asking for a place and complained worker at the spa told my wife that she is bad educated and rude and that she is not able to do anything. What way to speak to the customers! Later we complained at the front desk but nobody reacted in any way. There was no apology nor any kind of compensation.
