We loved the amenities especially the mini fridge and fan, as it was 35 degrees, and they made it manageable

The location was a bit out of the way but we knew that going in, also no hot water from the shower but that wasn't as much an issue as it could have been

They were kind.

I would like to report a very unpleasant situation during my stay. Water started leaking from the ceiling in our room, apparently coming from the floor above. This happened right after we could hear someone showering upstairs, and shortly after, water began dripping into our room. This was not a minor leak—there was a significant amount of water continuously dripping, which caused discomfort and made the experience quite negative. I believe this kind of issue seriously affects the quality of service and should be addressed urgently. I hope you take the necessary measures to prevent situations like this from happening again.

I had to book this hotel last minute as an emergency after my previous accommodation fell through due to an unannounced refurbishment. The team at The Hourglass were incredibly helpful, polite, and accommodating of my access needs right from the start. The location is great (a little tricky to find at first, but that’s a Google Maps issue, not the hotel's!). The bed was comfy, and I loved that they provide a proper small carton of milk for tea and coffee instead of those annoying little plastic jigger pots. Honestly, I usually have to run out to a shop to buy my own milk, so this was a massive, highly appreciated plus. They also provide a kitchen and laundry room you can use. Downstairs, the food smelled amazing and was incredibly reasonably priced—especially for London! I had to be out while the kitchen was open or I’d have opted to eat there I highly recommend staying here.

As someone with medical conditions, I was initially a bit nervous about using a shared bathroom. However, it turned out to be perfectly adequate. A quick tip for future guests: use the bathroom on the left for a shower rather than the one on the right! My only real recommendation to the hotel would be to add a non-slip shower mat, as the floor can get quite slippery. The rooms themselves are fairly basic, but if you just need a comfortable place to crash, it’s exactly what you need.
