We got what we expected and location

Gardens were very scruffy

Good breakfast. Parking close to room. Easy to find

Black out curtains maybe. Lights from carpark shone quite brightly. Perhaps to consider when curtains need replacing.

Proximity to motorway south

Lack of local places to eat

Good location, clean and comfy bed and excellent breakfast

Our “Garden View” room looked out on a very tatty staircase and a “garden” full of weeds and rubbish. The bathroom was well past its sell by date with the whole wall in the shower loose and dirt and grime in all corners. The room windows were filthy with dirt engrained all around the inside of the frame. The window had been forced open at some stage, and a large part of the window frame was missing that had simply just been painted over. The grounds of the hotel were very overgrown and unkempt. When we pulled up (late afternoon), there were no cars in the car park and we thought the hotel had been shut down. Breakfast staff didn’t appear to understand French or English. No milk on the breakfast counter - we eventually were understood by the staff what we needed, but they just came with a carton of milk, filled our hot drink cups and cereal bowls for us then took the milk away again!!
