Lots of character and history. Beautiful property to wander around. Welcoming host who shared the history of the home. Large room with big windows overlooking the property. Ask to see the chapel. Great recommendation for dinner.
The beds only had a mattress and not a box spring so a bit hard.

Louis was delightful and very informative regarding the history and heritage of the property. It’s definitely worth upgrading to the rooms at the front with amazing views over Chaves and a spectacular sunset. There is lots of off road parking. There is a good breakfast choice. The pool was closed when we visited in October, but the area is very tranquil. Felt like a real home from home and you are made to feel very welcome. We would definitely return here even if it was just for the atmosphere.
There are a lot of steps to the rooms, so probably not ideal if you have mobility issues.
