Friendly staff, good breakfast, Cosy, clean room, car park.

Very convenient for bus to city centre and friendly staff

Needed to have TV and heating in the room sorted, but staff very helpful.

Free parking, able to walk into the city, italian restaurant on site which was very reasonable priced, great menu and food, very friendly helpful staff who sorted out any problems in the room especially Maria.

Heating in the room didn't come on initially but was sorted. In the bathroom, nowhere to hang your towels for the shower or sink. The room was rather cramped with dated furniture.

Location! Yes it’s outside the town centre… but that’s Cambridge! You are on a main bus link to the centre and close to many pubs and foodie places (if Italian is not your thing). Not a bad place for a good sleep and a nice complimentary breakfast… which is worth getting up for!

Some of the furniture have seen better days, scuffed and watermarked. The bed a small (even for a single), but it was comfy.

My third stay at the Sorrento , I visit my daughter who lives nearby sometimes to bring her home in the holidays so this is a perfect location for me , the staff always so helpful and friendly, always clean and comfortable. My daughter and I also eat here great service and tasty food breakfast fabulous too a huge selection of continental and cooked staff again attentive and helpful . This is now my go to hotel after staying at a few over the years this is my all round favourite for comfort , convenience and I feel like it’s a home from home vibe, I actually have a better nights sleep here than at home !! Looking forward to my next visit !

Lovely hotel, everyone very friendly & free parking with spaces available. Close to town centre for gig we were attending, Room was a good size with nice bathroom (although did not use the shower) & good TV. Was surprised to have a fridge in the room, but downside was it kept me awake for a while. Excellent breakfast with good choice of full English (kept very hot) with choice of bread types, or good selection for a continental breakfast too. Good to have a covered outdoor smoking area with light at night (not that I would encourage smoking!) But nice area for a last beer for the night. Timing meant we didn't use the restaurant, but would certainly return.

Fridge in the room kept me awake for a while.

Inclusive breakfast, with a good variety and eggs cooked to order (though given poached eggs, instead of the requested fried). Restaurant at the hotel, with friendly wait staff - Bathroom had a small (single person) Jacuzzi and a hot-tub (both worked fine, despite some of the reviews to the contrary). Additional towels were provided, which came in handy. 4 poster bed comfy. Room to the rear side of the hotel, so not too noisy. Free on site car-park. Kettle and tea/coffee making facilities in the room, as well as a fridge

Bottled water in the room would have been a bonus - though there is a Tesco/Sainsbury Local within walking distance (about 15 mins or so). Using the hot-tub was nice, though when I wanted to shower afterwards, the water was stone cold, as was the water subsequently coming from the taps - both the hot-tub and sink. This followed a fire alarm, which may have had something to do with it. Ended up getting near hypothermia showing in ice cold water!. Mentioned this to the lad on the reception, who said he would get someone to sort it out the following day, though we were only staying the 1 night, so not really of any use (I will point out that the water the following morning was back to normal, as was the radiator, which hadn't worked the night before - I was fine, but my wife was a little cold - being a few days before Christmas, it wasn't overly warm). Meal in the restaurant was ok, though rather bland - the wild mushrooms on my chicken were blended way too much (imo), so had little texture and resembled something our family cat used to bring up when it was ill - n.b. I regret not ordering the pizza, which other people in the restaurant ordered later, and which looked much more appetizing. Wife enjoyed her risotto, though. TV speakers sounded distorted, and had to move the curtain on the 4 poster to watch it. Room was rather small, the bathroom being nearly as big, and the decor could do with updating, as it felt like staying at a relatives house. Overall it was an ok stay, though overpriced compared to other hotels I have stayed in, redeemed in part only by the bathroom facilities.

Unfortunately we decided to eat in the restaurant having read the menu. Big mistake I’m afraid. One of the worst meals we have ever had. We could not eat our main courses and all we were offered was the service charge taken off £72.00 bill. A real shame as we have stayed before and would have stayed on future visits to Cambridge.

Location, short drive from addenbrooks hospital, private off road parking, lovely restaurant on site (dinner and breakfast excellent), friendly helpful staff.

Brilliant breakfast (eggs benedict) and very helpful staff both morning and evening. The room was cosy and comfortable with good internet. In the bar area a good selection of food for evening meal and also good value for money (2 courses and wine £30), parking was £5 for 24 hours and very close to Trafford Bar so easily accessible to Deansgate

Good location for events at The Junction and room was very clean. Free parking is convenient. Friendly receptionists and breakfast staff. Good breakfast selection. Overall, good value for money.

Dated, dirty, cobwebs, treadbear carpet, tiny room, very noisy, broken wilndow handle, as a single woman I didn’t expect to be in a room right next to the fri t door facing the street

Breakfast was good, waiting staff helpful, nice fruit salad and thick creamy greek yoghurt with nuts and seeds toppings. the cooked breakfast looked fine but was not what we wanted, and we appreciated poached eggs on request, and decaf coffee organised for me with a smile. Lovely twin room - spacious and clean. bit of traffic noise as expected for location. Good private carpark at rear. Receptionist pleasant and helpful.

Restaurant for evening meal a bit disappointing, but I understand this was a different company so have done my socres for the hotel only Our main courses were not appetising to look at and the two 2 pasta dishes were not hot, but staff did reheat on request and then was satisfactory. The desserts were nice and the service was satisfactory.

Small cosy warm room on ground floor which was a bonus. Staff friendly. Free parking which is always a plus and convenient position flat walk into city or regular bus close to hotel.

Only one gripe chef cannot master the poached eggs, served swimming in water not cooked at all, nearly came off the plate but everything else was spot on. No eggs on second morning for me fresh fruit and bacon sandwich coffee was good I would stay there again Thank you

Location was decent with a greene king pub next door

Rooms had no acoustic suppression at all My room was above the kitchen so heard every conversation, and the closing of the restaurant, then the re-opening / prep for breakfast at 4.30am Extractor fan in bathroom was very noisy and doesn’t go off for hours (not the 10 minutes stated)

Around 10 to 15 mins walk to center Cambridge. No surprises everything as expected.

Attractive building with great facilities. Spacious car park. Safe location and handy for city centre and Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Room was clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. Breakfast was delicious, great choice of items and spacious comfortable dining room. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The breakfast were very good and the evening meal in the Italian restaurant was excellent.

The room location was not the best especially for a deluxe room. The rear entrance was right outside our room door so there were people coming and going all night. The hand driers from the toilet were on the adjoining wall and were very noisy. The room was on the ground floor and was quite warm, but the window didn't lock open so we had to keep it shut for security.

To my surprise the room was fitted with a jacuzzi and sauna in the bathroom. Comfy bed and decent tv. Overall value to money spend

Not much to complain. Just the parking for a motorcycle wasn't there. We were allowed to put it near the bicycles that had sort off a private spot.
