Staff, everyone who is working at the hotel are excellent! Very well spoken, friendly and knowledgeable. Food is really good, we eat breakfast and dinner at the hotel.
Bed is not comfortable at all, slept there for two nights and both morning woke up with bad back. Hotel is not very kids friendly, nothing to do with kids and the outdoor pool was not operational so that also made it difficult for us. They do have indoor pool which is nice but kids are not allowed since that is part of adults spa.

We had wonderful service from the dining room manager and all the staff & OH THE BREAKFAST - INCREDIBLE— they fulfilled every requirement and more. The spa was amazing too, with equally lovely and welcoming staff. We had brilliant massages as well. We toured Europe by car, and this hotel stood out as one of the most memorable, almost dream-like experiences. I’d love to go back — it was simply fantastic and the view from the balcony was lovely.
Old building full of character BUT - Needs a lot of maintenance - toilet coming away from wall a little and cleaning good but not fantastic - needs a bit more attention to detail and probably the cleaners do not have sufficient time / equipment to be effective. When you are spending £1000 a night you expect the best.
