Exceptional hotel with great staff in a fantastic location

The staff at the hotel were fabulously polite, friendly, professional and helpful. We were offered free coffee in the lobby. They gave us free transit passes which we were able to use to get to the airport. The front desk staff stood up and welcomed us the moment we walked in. We had a beautiful room on the top floor with a balcony. The breakfast was delicious with great choices and lots of fresh fruit. We only had one day in Geneva and we were able to walk easily to the Old Town and along the lake front. It was a truly excellent hotel and beautifully furnished with a wonderful array of artwork and antiques. Everything was spotlessly clean.

There was not one thing to dislike about this hotel. It was excellent!

We throughly enjoyed the hotel’s atmosphere and position. Recommend.

The hotel was ideally located, we felt very safe walking around in the evenings, quality restaurants close by, very easy walking to the old city and other tourist attractions. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, our room was very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was very good ( a mix of continental and standard cooked breakfast options). Our room was a Superior Double. There is a lift to the 3rd floor. The lift is extremely small and there are still 3 steps to reach the rooms.

Coffee facilities in the room are very basic, kettle with coffee sachets and tea bags. The safe was a key lock and quite small, certainly not suitable for a laptop. The bathroom had a bath and shower combo that had very high sides and the screen made it quite awkward getting in and out.

An excellent hotel.

A very nice hotel right in the middle of Geneva. The room was spacious and spotless. You don't get a view of the lake from this hotel but that's OK. It's well worth paying extra for the breakfast which is superb, the fried items are cooked to order in the room and the incredibly polite maitre de kept us supplied with food and drink until we were fully stuffed!

There's no parking. But the receptionist put the location of the nearest public car park into my Satnav and off I went, it's about 5 mins walk from the hotel and it's secure but it costs £1/HR or thereabouts - but you don't go to Geneva to save money.

Great location and spacious rooms.

The breakfast room is closed off with the kitchen and your clothes will smell like fried eggs after you leave. I had to air my blazer before a meeting and spray perfume. The smell lasted me almost all day. Terrible. They need to open the windows.

This is my now my preferred hotel when working in Geneva and the best I've had over many years.

Everything. The staff were really good even before I arrived confirming certain queries, and everything was exactly as I had asked for, They were very friendly and professional. The room was very well appointed. Air Con worked, There was a kettle & fridge in the room. It was impeccably clean. Breakfast was lovely and service very good. I have already recommended the hotel to friends and have already booked for a return stay.

It is a little dearer than hotels of a similar class.

Everything. The staff were so professional in answering queries in advance of my stay and everything was as requested. I have already booked to return again and have recommended it to a friend. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. The room was perfect, exceptionally clean, quiet and the air con worked. Breakfast was also really lovely.

Despite having paid for a room on the top floor, the only view was of a building site. Whilst the hotel is friendly and comfortable, it doesn't feel very good value for money. Feels a little bit dated and cramped.

The room was comfortable but storage space for closing was minimal: you can never quite unpack

The furnishing of the hallway and the lounge has artistic pretenses that fall well short. It is not even very functional. The hotel is very expensive for what it offers, but, I suppose, that goes for the entire city of Geneva.

The location was great, easy walk to the train station. While the DECKER was a little star, I have to say it was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The beautiful linens were changed every day. The staff was exceptionally friendly at the front desk and very helpful. Breakfast was lovely. I could not have asked for anything more.

Depending on which way you walked away from the property, the neighborhood could get a little gritty. It will be interesting to see how the area develops as there is construction in the area.
