Comfortable, affordable stay in a prime location.

Very comfortable room and bed if not a little on the small side but that might be nit picking (last year we had a larger room for a similar price). Fantastic location, a two minute walk from the lake.

Doors were squeaky, especially to the en-suite bathroom so perhaps could do with a bit more consistent maintenance programme.

A stylish, well-located hotel with great service and breakfast

Excellent location, very walkable and right by the lake. The hotel is very stylish with a cozy mountain vibe that really comes through in the design. Rooms are a good size with a large, comfortable bed, and amenities like quality toiletries and a coffee machine were provided. Staff were pleasant and welcoming, and breakfast was very good with a nice variety of options.

There is no gym. We also experienced a minor issue where the room key card did not work properly. As we arrived on a Saturday, there was no technician available until Monday. While the staff was helpful and assisted us each time we needed access, this did affect the overall stay. It seems like an isolated issue, but worth mentioning. Also, no bottled drinking water was provided in the room.

The room was beautiful and very comfortable, the common areas are inviting, and everything feels thoughtfully designed. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming, truly lovely people. The breakfast was impeccable, with excellent quality, variety, and care in every detail.

The best part of the visit was the desk staff in particular Margaux. She went above and beyond to provide exceptional support, including helping deliver our luggage to our rooms on the third floor. She was the best aspect of our visit to the Edelweiss

One bathroom was a little less than perfect and needed additional cleaning which they did.

Good location and ok for one night

Nice theme to the property and good location.

Room was so warm and air con didn’t work or the usb sockets, very expensive mini bar items which you can but from the shop next door for a fraction of the price. Firmer pillows would be nice had to fold them up to get a bit of support.

Comfortable stay in Geneva!

Hotel is decorated beautifully, everything feels high quality. The staff are friendly and happy to help you although, sometimes there was a language barrier. The room was a good size and comfortable. The location was really good for getting into the heart of Geneva, especially for the Christmas market.

The only downsides we experienced were that the hot items of the buffet breakfast most mornings were cold and although a nice hotel, it didn't feel like value for money in the price.

Breakfast and location

I was very disappointed with my stay. The hotel does not have parking, which caused a lot of inconvenience. During checkout, the staff member was rude and unhelpful. He didn’t assist with our luggage and even ignored us when we called him. The hotel also had an unpleasant smell throughout, and there was loud drilling noise early in the morning that disturbed our rest. In addition, the room windows could not be opened, so we couldn’t get any fresh air. Overall, it was not a comfortable or pleasant experience.

The room was nice

The hot water was turned off at 8:00 a.m. due to maintenance. There was construction that was so loud it was unreal right outside our hotel at 6:30 in the morning. The bar and restaurant were both closed.

A short stay to see the lake

Close to both the train station (10 minutes by foot and 5 by bus) and to the lake. There is a beautiful park, not more than 10 minutes eastbound around the lake. The staff was really awesome!

The rooms facing the street were a bit noisy during the day, but there was enough air even with closed windows, the room had proper ventilation.

Didn't know that the Travel Card wouldn't cover us for the taxi back to the airport when we departed , the taxi cost us nearly £50 , where the taxi when we landed to the hotel was free The expresso coffee machine in the room was faulty , after reporting it faulty it was never fixed , it would be easier with a simple electric kettle and a decent supply of coffee/tea The basin in the shower room was cracked when we arrived (Room 723) Outside at night should have better street lighting , it might put off the meeting place for vagrants getting pissed up

Nice hotel in great location

The room was nice and clean with a good air conditioning system. The staff was the best part of the hotel! Very helpful with recommendations and transportation choices. No ramp up their stairs and the receptionist insisted on carrying my bag down when I left. They printed out my boarding passes for me and Geneva transport card. Nice location! Near grocery store, restaurants and bus to the train station. Close to get to the lake as well! Pretty quiet location, as I had my window open a bit in the evening for fresh air.

The carpet was a little worn. The restaurant looked very nice but breakfast was very expensive, which seems to be the norm for all hotels in Geneva. I don't eat that much and it's not worth $37 for breakfast. The pillows were quite flat and I had to double up. Good thing I was alone. The price of the hotel room kept going down, but after rebooking the first time at a lower price, I chose the non-refundable price. The price still went lower according to Booking.com, but I could not rebook and got a credit from the website that hopefully I can use on next lodging.

The reception staff were not helpful and the hot breakfast was hard scrambled eggs and greasy bacon Only one member of staff was helpful and I believe he was a night porter(young male 25 years old?) Seats outside the hotel were hard as rock In the evening it was a meeting point for vagrants shouting and drinking within 10m of the hotel.

Great staff members...

Hotel was, for me, located w/in walking distance to most of the things I wanted to see/visit. Room was clean and tidy. Did not eat in the restaurant.

I was just a little uncomfortable since there wasn't A/C. The hotel did provide a fan but since I was travelling with a friend, I slept on the pull out sofa (since I'm tall) and she slept on one of the twin beds...the air from the fan was directed more at one person since we were in differections.

Awful experience! It’s a very old & tiny guest house! They wanted to give us twin bedroom although we booked king bed! Receptionist was lying that there is no room but later they gave us a king bedroom! Very small room! Decoration is so tired! Located in a busy ugly neighborhood

Great hotel, fanny on reception not good.

Located near railway station (10min walk) and train just 6 min to airport. Room was large and beautiful. Bed very comfortable.

Shower over bath. Fanny,on reception, when we arrive was not too friendly. We realised we had booked with breakfast months earlier but realised we wouldn’t have time in morning due to early flight. We asked if we could have a credit for breakfast. She said no (and as we had booked via booking.com she couldn’t change it. But we paid direct to hotel on arrival. And if the hotel doesn’t want customers to do booking through booking.com then don’t list it there. They should be welcome of us no matter how we booked.). We asked if we could get a credit on the restaurant for dinner. Danny said she asked manager. But never came back to us. When we came back to check into room at 3pm Fanny was there but disappeared quickly. The man at reception said he would speak to fanny about credit but no one got back to us. Just a simple yes or no would have done. But that didn’t seem capable. Management take note of Fanny’s lack of getting back. Three weeks in Switzerland. 8 hotels. Fanny was the worst.

great staff but need to fix the kitchen smell

the hotel staff are all extremely friendly, professional and responsive. I must admit that Dorothee was exceptional by all means. She was very helpful and so friendly. She made us feel like home and gave us a treatment that's difficult to match.

FANTASTIC PLACE, FRIENDLY STAFF AND VERY CLEAN.

Everything was good. The staff was the best, very friendly and Helpful. The place was kept well, and the restaurant was good.

the first two days the climate was very Hot so were the Rooms, but they didn't switch on the AC, however after we told them our issue, they gave us a Fan. with which we adjusted. We expected them to switch on the AC.

Cute place

It's such a cute hotel. Immediately loved it as soon as we walked in. Good location. 10min walk to train station and about a 20min walk to the lake.

We were on the 7th floor and the AC in the hotel had not been turned on yet. We couldn't sleep with the windows open due to noise and mosquitoes. They did give us a fan, but it was a pretty uncomfortable night.

What a wonderful little boutique hotel. Very clean, cosy, super friendly and helpful staff, perfect location. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but the hotel restaurant looked very charming. Would definitely recommend!
