Clean, nice spacious villa, lovely staff, beautiful beach

What a beautiful few days - I stayed in a deluxe balcony room for two nights. The room was lovely, a gorgeous indoor / outdoor bathroom with a big tub, and a large terrace with a day bed overlooking beautiful gardens. The beach was very nice - soft sand, towards the end of the cove, good quality loungers and towels and an incredibly helpful beachside and poolside team, who would set up my lounger and towels and bring ice water when I arrived. The adult pool is tranquil, cabanas around, and very relaxing. The lunch menu served poolside was delicious with high quality ingredients. Breakfast was a delight - à la carte options were all very tasty. The team made breakfast a relaxing time of day to enjoy, with perfect service and a calm atmosphere. The bar area in the evenings was enjoyable to spend time in, with a drink or dessert. There are a range of activities on offer - I watched some of the film on the beach, the fire show on Thai market night, and a Thai flower arranging activity. These were all great. Along the beach are lots of massage / food / drinks places. It was nice to have access to those, but stay somewhere where not many people pass by. The whole hotel has impeccable service. I am not easy to please, but I found that absolutely everyone I interacted with went above and beyond to help - and wanted me to enjoy myself and be comfortable. There are not many hotels I would return to - but this is one I would love to visit again. It has all of the ingredients for a relaxing and pampering break away.

Outdoor bathroom is pretty but full of mosquitoes

The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the breakfast was very good.

We were shocked to find that the shower and especially the toilet are completely outdoors. From the photos it looked like it's only the bathtub or an outdoor shower, but in reality the entire bathroom has no walls. Even though the "bathroom" is surrounded by the villa’s wall, it’s still right next to the neighboring villas and the street, which felt uncomfortable and not private. The staff tried to add curtains to help, but it didn’t really solve the issue — the villa design is quite strange and just wasn’t suitable for us.
