Logis Hôtel-Restaurant du Mouton

The room was super comfortable and the restaurant had an exquisite Cousine. We really enjoy our stay at the hotel.

Nice rooms and very clean

While the building might be old, the inside was very modern and comfortable. The pillows were great. There is a separate entrance to the lodging area so you dont need to go through the restaurant every time. Their restaurant and service is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. We were reminded that departure on Tuesday was by 10 as they were closed from then until Thursday. While we did not eat in their dining room, it was full of diners and it smelled wonderful. Breakfast was good and artfully arranged. Temporary parking was available for bag drop off immediately in front of the restaurant by the fountain. We arrived late on a Sunday but time for a stroll through their beautiful town, but much of the town was closed for Monday. They recommended the hike to the three castles and the abbey, which was very cool to do, roaming around the ruins without a guide needed. The 4 mile hike distance (estimates 2.5 hours, we took over 4 while exploring!) was nothing, but the ascent was more than our hikes usually include! Gorgeous views from the top!

Everything was good. There was no parking provided by the hotel, but they recommended white lined parking spots two blocks away behind the church. 6 spots, and there was one available when we needed to park. Not bad, but not immediately at the hotel. Most parking in the old town area was 2 hour limit 9AM-7PM. Our rental car had a blue plastic clock with hands to set to your end time and place on the dash. It was the first time we had seen this used. Our reception desk person told us how to use it!

Nice hotel in good location

After traveling around Europe for a whole month, unfortunately we came upon this type of hotel a few times. When you arrive, there is no one to greet you . You have to phone them up to find where the keys are. They had a restaurant with a nice menu but was closed,as it was their day off. When staff showed up the next morning they offered an expensive breakfast. Maybe I'm old fashioned?? I believe that if you call yourself a hotel and have a restaurant you should be there every day that you have guests. If not,don't open that day !
