    Cold and shabby
    The road leaving the hotel!
There was no hot water in the room in the morning in order to take a shower. I allowed the shower to run for 20 minutes, but still no hot water. The room was cold and damp. I was located in the old part of the hotel. The hotel needed updating and the room was shabby and tired. I arrived late and checked out very early because of the facilities and not be able to take a shower. Very disappointed. I informed the check-out staff who just looked at me blankly and said it was not their problem. Won't be visiting this hotel.

Our stay at the hotel was fabulous. As a disabled person the hotel is a great place to stay.
None of us ear breakfast but it looked excellent and smelled beautiful and fresh. My husband choose to try the lunch menu, I have never seen so much food put on his plate? No-one could eat there and say they didn’t get enough food piled on their plates! In the evenings we chose to eat from the bar menu it was suburb, everything was so fresh, tasted amazing. My son who has allergies was well catered for? he went down to lunch spoke with the staff and the chef told him that if their wasn’t anything they had prepared for lunch suitable for him they would make him anything on their menu. I was always told “when you visit any country look for the restaurants/bars where you see the local people eating in” you won’t go wrong!

Absolutely appaled after traveling so far. Pictures were so deceiving.
The room was filthy and small. Never again.

Nice period family run hotel, staff lovely and the grounds and building are stunning.
Great buffet breakfast and evening meal at the bar was on the whole very nice, the rooms are comfortable, not over large but ok for me and my partner, staff were lovely and helpful and friendly to my partner who was visiting Ireland for the first time. Adequate parking on site (i never was stuck for a space), and Lucan is a short drive away if you fancied a night out or a meal (Carrols steak on the stone would be my recommendation, we visit at least once every time we stay).
Quite pricey especially if your used to Airb&b i think they cater for travelling workers who get the usual 150 Euro a night allowance, and Lucan is a stiff walk away skirting the busy motorway.
