Nice view, excellent breakfast and a good room.
It used to be one of our favorite hotels to stay at; however, since they no longer accept pets—specifically our 4-kilogram Shih Tzu—it is highly unlikely that I will ever stay at the Caracol with my family again.

All good. But balcony floor needs frequent cleaning and mopping. The floor was dirty. Shower was very good but the glass preventing shower water splashing out of bath tub doesn’t do the job so bathroom door is fully wet after shower. Other than that all good. The lovely young lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful.

It is very close to the city centre (Angra). The staff is extremely polite and very helpful. The hotel is also very close to Monte Brasil and Silveira Beach, and it's very well located to access all points of Terceira.
Every day, a bathroom item was missing: we either didn't have enough towels, toilet paper, etc. It was beyond frustrating not to know how we were going to find the bathroom items after a long day on the island. The bathroom is also completely outdated; the floor, tiles, and items in the bathroom are extremely old (even the floor is cracking, and there was a hole in the bathroom ceiling). The same goes for the hotel itself: it's simply outdated for 2025.
We found a huge cockroach in the bedroom, and given that the balcony door was closed, it was either there from the beginning or somehow made its way into the bedroom.
The breakfast was just OK for the price we paid for the hotel. Nothing fancy or special for a 4-star rated hotel.
