    We had a winter weekend break at this lovely hotel. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were polite and friendly and hard working.

    Great find a lovely hotel we stayed in one of the garden rooms a big room a little tired needs a few little repairs. Lovely grounds would have been lovely to walk around but it was a wet weekend. Staff can’t do enough for you. breakfast was great. Only down sides lots of huge potholes on the road to hotel and being dog friendly hotel dogs in bar without muzzles!!but I would definitely book again .great value for money.

    Booked 2 nights here reviews looked excellent with onsite restaurant ser ving great breakfasts and a carvery for dinner etc.Booked the room then rung them to be told the place had been taken over in April and was an events hotel and did not offer food to gusts not at an event. No cancellation allowed.The room was large and the bed and pillows comfortable but no air con or not even a fan in the room.Tea making facilities consisted of a couple of tea bags 2 sachets of coffee and 2 sachets of dry milk substitute.No fridge,a large crack in the washbasin which looked old and a shower over the bath which wouldn't switch over to shower only.The single track road leading to the premises is overgrown and easy to damage any reasonable sized car.The reception is only manned from 9 till 5.30.Left early on second day and put key in letterbox.Won't be back.I do not usually write negative reviews but feel this one is justified
