I always stay at the Royal Chase when I visit UK. Impressive building, lovely grounds, loads of parking and a very convenient base for exploring the area.
I am happy to stay there but one has to bear in mind that it is a British hotel, so if you are used to hotels in Asia and expect the same standard, you will be sadly disappointed.
The food is good but the restaurant and bar have no atmosphere. In the evening one poor person has to run both the bar and the restaurant.
The rooms are fine but you need to run the hot water for around 5 minutes before it becomes warm. The shower pressure was also limited and the wash basin remarkably small. But the bed was comfortable and there is, as you would expect, free wifi. But there is no fridge and no safe.
The hotel has a good swimming pool but no gym.
I like it and I would definitely stay there again.
