    Really welcoming chap behind the bar, really nice room albeit a bit small but very noisy! Being grade 2 listed, the windows are old sash ones and being at the front of the property nr the road. Lovely food and surroundings and convenient for Shaftesbury.

    This village pub closed tge bar before 21.30. The breakfast order was confirmed on arrival, staff were confused about tge details the next morning . There were only two guests. The bed was very narrow, the advanced booking showed no other availability. The second breakfast was taken with no staff available so a merge meal from the cereals table. This was not good value . Tge pub has great potential in a great location.
