Relaxing beautifully appointed B and B in dreamy Bruges

Amazing location in the heart of beautiful Bruges. Recently renovated to a high standard with gorgeous interior design. Make your way up the delightfully winding staircase to a view of the bells. Welcoming, knowledgeable hosts who are happy to assist with restaurant selection! Just fabulous.

Perfect, cozy, warm, relaxing

Very clean and tidy. Really well put together room. Loved the spa bath. Bath salts and chocolates on arrival was a very nice touch. The perfect location. I loved how quiet the road was. Balcony with the perfect view for the church and its bells ringing. Would definitely stay again.

Only thing id comment on is the privacy of the toilet situation, you want something to try and hide the noises.

The location is perfect for a city stay, so close to the centre but away from main streets. The house and room is beautifully designed and presented and a delicious, Belgium inspired breakfast.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Stay at Amato-Brugge! We recently stayed at this wonderful B&B in the heart of Bruges, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The location couldn’t be better — just a few minutes’ walk from the central square, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and charming. The B&B itself is the perfect blend of traditional architecture and modern style. From the moment we walked through the front door, it smelled amazing! Our room was beautifully designed, comfortable, and very well equipped — from the super comfy bed and high-quality towels to the added luxury of a sauna. On arrival, we were greeted with thoughtful touches like welcome chocolates, sweets, and bottled water. There’s a lovely breakfast area with complimentary tea and coffee available all day, and other drinks at very reasonable prices. Hosts Kristof and Stijn, along with their gorgeous dog Gucci, were absolutely fantastic — warm, welcoming, and always happy to help with recommendations. They even surprised me with a birthday card and a bottle of wine during our stay, which was such a kind and personal gesture. Because it’s a beautiful old building, there are a few stairs to navigate, so it might not suit those with limited mobility — but for everyone else, it’s a true gem. Thank you, Kristof, Stijn, and Gucci, for a wonderful stay. We loved every minute and would definitely return!

Exceptional! Genuinely one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The hosts, decoration, facilities, breakfast and location were all outstanding. We would highly recommend this stay and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Brugge.

A beautiful room in a beautiful city.

WOW - the room was beautiful having been recently refurbished to the highest standard. The accomodation is only a couple of minutes walk to the main square in the Old Town but yet sits in a quiet street away from the noise and hustle and bustle. The view of the belfry lit up at night from my window was an added bonus. The hosts, Stijn and Kristof (and a special mention to Gucci, the dog) were most welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend the Amato-Brugge and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Cozy room in a great location

The hotel is newly renovated and beautifully done. Modern and clean with an artistic feel, it made for a great stay. The room was comfortable, and nicely air conditioned during a hot spell. The bathroom was modern and beautifully appointed and included a spa! The hotel is only a 1 block walk to the Markt square with lots of food and drink options. Its a quiet location on a side street, with a beautiful interior design and wonderful hosts Kristof and Stijn. As mentioned by other reviews, there is no elevator and the steps are narrow (as is the case in all the older places) but the hosts are more than happy to assist with luggage. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Hosts that go above and beyond!

This place is like staying in a luxury boutique hotel except better. The host are absolutely lovely and super helpful. They haven’t missed any details. The towels smelled wonderfully, breakfast is a must (and so much better than what you can get on your own), and super clean. The host are available if you need anything. They have drinks for purchase that are so convenient and well-priced. There is an awesome coffee machine that makes fancy coffee that is available all day. There were candies and chocolates in the room as a welcome gift. Absolutely wonderful experience!

Timeless and trendy, a beautiful blend of hipster flair and old-fashioned charm, with amazing hosts.

One block walk to the market … quiet location, great AC, great mattress, incredible shower and sauna, beautiful interior design in an older three-level home. Exemplary hosts! The breakfast was a wonderful European breakfast and the host explained each cheese, meat, and seafood. Fresh fruit, musli, breads, and local jams made it superior.

Quiet oasis in the heart of old town Bruges.

Kristof and Stijn were fantastic hosts, and have done a fabulous job totally remodeling the property that is well over 100 years old. The location is ideal, but the best part is no noise. Very quiet for sleeping, and convenient to all that Bruges has to offer.

Fantastic hotel, with perfect hosts. The whole hotel was lovely, decoration, furniture and layout. The room was very good, layout and decor was very well done. Bed was comfy. Whole place was clean and tidy. A lovely friendly dog. Gucci, occasionally greeted us when we came in. Easy checkin. Location was excellent, short walk to the main areas and restaurants.

Bruges Break.

Amato-Bruge is situated within a minutes walk of the main square. Its location is in a small no through road, so there is no passing traffic. Our room number 1 was on the first floor, it was spacious, clean and tidy and open plan with plenty of places for clothes and a comfortable bed. The hosts were very helpful and informative but not intrusive. There is a small area on the first floor for use by guests with seats and tables, a coffee machine, fridge, and information. Each day during our stay, the hosts left pastries or chocolates. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance, and the hosts can give recommendations if required. There is a small fridge in the room, and toiletries are provided. We eat out for breakfast and can recommend Sweet L'Oueff a 2 minute walk. This is almost opposite a restaurant we used in the evening and can also recommend called Brassierie Surplace. They are both popular, and booking is recommended (even for breakfast).

As the room is open, plan there is no screening or door for the toilet, so you are on view to the rest of the room, which some people may find disconcerting.

Modern rooms in an old building

Currently no breakfast being served. There is a dining area with sodas and water in a small refrigerator and hot espressos, lates, and coffees from a machine. Small chocolates were offered in the afternoon. The property is located in a quiet area just a short walk from the market square which is a landmark in central Bruges. Our 2-floor room was clean and excellently decorated and featured a sauna in the bathroom. From the third floor sleeping area was a beautiful view of a tower at the edge of the market square. Our hosts were helpful and friendly and really saved our day when our confirmed taxi to the train did not show up. One of the owners drove us the short distance to the station. The only negative is that there are no elevators to help move luggage to upper floors. Again the hosts helped us move two larger suitcases upstairs. Also the stairs to the top unit sleeping area have narrow treads that make passage challenging. But such passages are common in the older parts of cities and anyone with mobility problems may want to find a hotel with an elevator or ground floor. Overall, this hotel was a wonderful experience.

The room was lovely on the top floor - very quiet but so central. The B&B owners bent over backwards to help us - from lending us a phone charger to offering great suggestions for breakfast. Van't recommend highly enough.

Perfect stay and perfect hosts

This property is in a perfect location 2 mins walk from the square, the hosts were so welcoming and friendly and made the stay perfect, it was my husbands birthday and they even left him a little present in the room when we were out. You can help yourself to the coffee machine next door and they left out a sweet treat in the afternoon.The decor and design of the room was 10/10 with a huge double shower and jacuzzi bath. I cannot recommend this place more to stay it’s perfect.

The location was perfect for the places we had in mind to visit. But Kristof and Stijn were also helpful with recommendations. They really know the city. The property was very warm and comfortable. If we needed something, either owner was available to help.

There was work going on in the home but that really didn’t hinder our stay. The work will only make the B&B a more desirable property for future guests.

Amazing location, 2 min walk from the center, and stunning view from the room. The hosts were really nice and offered breakfast and a bottle of cava for New Year’s. Definitely recommend!

Perfect place

The location of the hotel was in the middle of the city so we could have come and gone during the day, when we felt tired. The room was also so clean ☺️And special thanks to Stijn and Kristof for their kind hosting!

Location was good and it was quiet. Contactless entry and checkout.

Room would steam up after a shower (no ventilation), the kettle didn't reach the plug (had to put it on the floor), the shared area had a table but no access to a fridge or other amenities.

Great place!

This is a very nice place to stay in the center of the city. A nice view to the tour from the balcony was a pleasant surprise. We felt very comfy, it was warm inside and quite. The building itself is so beautiful so you feel yourself like in the museum. I would like to come back!

The only disadvantage is the absence of breakfast. But the owners left some suggestions where to try good breakfast in the city.

Location was fantastic

We were at the top floor and our bed was lofted which made using the facilities challenging. Also, the no breakfast offering was a real bummer as that is why we typically chose b&bs. They were up front about that but still is a bummer for a placed called a b&b.

Fabulous stay, wonderful central location and friendly service

The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed to make our trip perfect. The location was close to everything (2 mins to the Christmas market, shops and main sights)! Our duplex room had a view overlooking the belfry and as there's only 3 rooms here, you feel you have the whole place to yourself! The communal living room was so inviting after a days sightseeing!
