Fantastic heritage resort with some of the best views of Prambanan and Merapi. Staff were super nice and the property is huge with a lot of great add ons available like gamelan music classes, photo sessions and an excellent spa.

Probably my favorite part of the hotel were the grounds overlooking the valley, the view restaurant, and the kind and helpful staff. I lived that there is a Buddhist ruin on the grounds. That was an unexpected surprise. I found the food in the restaurant delicious. I loved sitting and looking at the temple below. One dinner I moved inside due to many people smoking outside. The free photo shoot was a fun addition. My room was spacious and comfortable with a robe to wear. The patio outside was pretty, although I didn’t sit there much due to the heat. They have a beautiful pool area. The pool is one if the nicest I’ve experienced in Indonesia. It’s large for swimming. I wish I’d had more than 2 days at this hotel.

My bathroom could have been cleaner and there was a roach.

The only peoblem i had is with the shower head at room 218. It was stucked and i have to take a shower in the tub. Since i only need to stay for a night, it's a small hiccup. HOWEVER, none can beat the hospitality, the overall comfort and the no-money-can-buy view from the beautiful compound. Would i stay for another night? In a heartbeat, major yes.
