A lovely apartment 15 minute walk away from Alfama district. We stayed in 2B with twin comfy beds , lounge with 2 seater sofa bed , kitchen with a fridge and dishwasher and bathroom with a power shower , basin and toilet .
The host Teresa was extremely helpful and swift to reply via WhatsApp when we needed anything. There is a garden at the back which we didn’t use.
The pictures on line are probably from when the apartment was first refurbished. It now looks a little tired in parts. The shower cubicle has mould on the walls. The sofa looks a bit dirty in parts. The bedding and towels whilst being clean are old and well worn, even the tea towel had holes in it. 2B faces the road which is noisy , if you are a light sleeper then bring earplugs.

Very comfortable bed, light and sunny. Loved listening to the birds singing in the back garden.
A lot of steep stairs to climb, difficult shower to operate (we had to get help from the cleaner). The back garden needs some attention, it's looking scruffy and neglected. The swimming pool is empty with a torn lining. The neighbour's dogs barked constantly in the evenings and sporadically throughout the night, so this isn't the 'quiet retreat' or 'peaceful oasis' that's described on the web site.
