Renaissance Paris Republique Hotel & Spa

Lovely rooms with good views. The rooms have good storage space. The guest amenities provided were very good as well. The hotel is conveniently located in the République area, a quick subway journey away from most of the tourist locations:)

The rooms could be a little more spacious for the price, otherwise nothing to complain about.

For Paris, the room was of a decent size and it was indeed soundproof. Again, a big plus in a city where most buildings have old thin walls. It was very clean when I arrived. The room service staff were very friendly and efficient. The location is great, you can walk to Le Marais or catch the subway at one of Paris' most connected stations "Republique". Lots of food and coffee shop options nearby.

The booking process was such a pain and the staff was simply not helpful. I got contradicting messages and phone calls after trying to make a very simple change to my arrival date. When I arrived, I was also greeted by a very cold young man who seemed in a bad mood. That's fair. Except not in a 5 star hotel. And that's the thing, this hotel is not to 5 star standards. 4 at best because Paris hotel rooms have low standard for infrastructure reasons (old buildings, thin walls, tiny rooms are the norm and in this case, you have a little space and the soundproofing is great). The room service staff was excellent and very friendly, but the reception staff was either rude (young man upon arrival) or neutral but inefficient (booking process).
