Nice rural self-catering property. A bit isolated, car is a must

The house was very clean and everything was in good working order. The shower was spacious and there was always hot water. The host was easy to communicate with and helpful. In terms of location, it is possible to walk to the stop for the free shuttle bus that takes you to Mont St Michel. It takes about 20 minutes and is a flat route, along an unpaved pathway that runs between a road on one side and fields on the other. If you are walking back at night, be aware that the the route is rural and very dark. At the very least you would need at least the torch from your phone to guide you. If you want to skip the walk, you can drive to the shuttle bus stop and leave your car in the car park there.

Apart from visiting the Mont, a car would be recommended if you want to go anywhere else or pick up food for your self-catering stay as the house is in a rural location. There is a large Carrefour supermarket in Pontorson. One small thing that was an issue for me was that there is a boiler in the wardrobe of the downstairs bedroom that makes a double clicking noise every so often. I realised that this noise kept waking me up and so went to sleep instead in the mezzanine room. I realise this probably would not be an issue for most people and in fact, my partner slept through it. If you are a light sleeper, consider bringing earplugs or sleeping on the mezzanine floor.

Beautiful countryside

The location was very peaceful. There were 4 gites out the back of a house. There was an area outside and comfortable space. We really enjoyed walking down to the grasslands in the evening and seeing Mont St Michel silhouetted in the distance.

Unfortunately there were lots and lots of flies so we couldn't open the windows or doors or eat outside. This made our experience quite hot because although the nights were cool, we couldn't get ventilation.

Loved it.

The location was stunning with amazing views. The facilities were high quality and very clean. The bedrooms were good sizes and had comfy beds. The kitchen was well equipped and had any implement you could need. Perfect for small gatherings or large family get away. The host was extremely polite and understanding regarding my lack of skill in speaking French and was happy to communicate by text.

I don't have anything negative that's worth mentioning. Any negative I have would be purely based on my personal preference.

The host was so kind to let us check in early and waited for us he xplained everything clearly. He offered free bikes and provided bike air pump upon request. This had a great help so that we could cycle around the beautiful neighboring villages. Kitchen wares are fully equipped, while you have to prepare your own body soap and shampoo. The location is a quite country environment. 50 minutes walking to Mont Saint Michel and 20 minutes to the free bus stop.

Had a nice stay!

Beautiful accommodation with enough space and a nice terrace overlooking the meadows. You can park the car next to the accommodation. Hostess is very friendly and helpful. There were even a candle and a rose ready for our anniversary. Accommodation was very clean and it is very quiet. We had a really nice stay. There are several shops nearby where you can get groceries and breakfast. There are also many nice restaurants.

Comfort of furniture and beds could have been better. We missed a nice chair.

Great hospitality in the countryside.

The host was exceptional! She dropped us off at the bus stop and was happy to ensure we had all we needed for our stay. The bicycles made getting around the area easy, since we needed them to get to and from Mont-Saint-Michel and the supermarket

The only improvement would be to have a fan or two available, as it was very hot when we were there.

Really nice self contained apartment. The hosts could not have been more friendly. It’s location was perfect for visiting Mont St Michel. We stayed for 4 nights and explored the surrounding areas. The apartment is in ‘as new’ condition and very clean. Shower was good and clean. Bed was comfortable and there area was very peaceful. Good amenities within the apartment. Local restaurant a few meters along the road if you don’t want to cook.

Un vrai régale pour un moment en famille

Le propriétaire nous a bien accueillis, il a été très gentil et agréable. Il a été très gentil vis à vis des aménagements pour bébé. Toutes les adresses, indications ont été excellentes et de bonne qualité. Et le petit plus, nous avons adoré tous les jours voir les moutons passer devant l'appartement. Un vrai plaisir. Si nous devons revenir nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Peut être enlever l'indication lave vaisselle car au final il n'y a pas de lave vaisselle mais un évier seulement.

Schöne Ferienwohnung buchstäblich am Fuße des Mont

Die Ferienwohnung hat eine traumhafte Lage. Tritt man vom Grundstück hinaus auf die Straße, liegt der Mont Saint Michel direkt vor einem.Zum Besucherparkplatz sind es gerade einmal fünf Minuten mit dem Auto. Morgens wird man von Schafen und Wasservögeln geweckt, die nebenan wohnen. Die Wohnung ist groß genug für maximal fünf Personen, wobei drei Betten quasi "auf dem Balkon", also auf einer eingezogenen zweiten Etage stehen. Die Einrichtung ist praktisch und zweckmäßig, es ist alles da, was man braucht. Wir haben gern dort gewohnt und viele schöne Ausflüge machen können.

Ein Sofa hätte noch Charme gehabt...

L’emplacement est idéal, à deux pas du Mont-Saint-Michel, dans un cadre bucolique avec des moutons autour et un extérieur plutôt charmant. L’hôte nous avait aussi partagé quelques bonnes adresses locales.

Le logement était dans un état d’insalubrité scandaleux, en total décalage avec les avis laissés. Moisissures sur les murs, les fenêtres et dans la douche ; placards moisis, tiroirs sales, four crasseux, poussière épaisse sous les lits, et un lit parapluie pour enfant qui empestait l’humidité. Notre fille de 2 ans ne pouvait évidemment pas rester là. Malgré nos photos, l’hôte a nié toute responsabilité, s’est montré désagréable et n’a proposé aucune solution, aucun geste, aucun remboursement. Nous avons dû fuir les lieux à 20h30 après 500 km de route, avec un enfant en bas âge, sans avoir mangé ni même pu nous laver. C’est une honte absolue.

Il cottage,è praticamente a due passi da Mont Saint Michael, praticamente ci siamo sentiti a casa sin da subito tanto è vero che i nostri figli non vedevano l' ora di tornare la sera per poterci stare tanto è accogliente! purtroppo non abbiamo potuto incontrare il proprietario Freddy poiché per nostra abitudine quando facciamo un viaggio,usciamo la mattina prestissimo e rincasiamo di sera però è stato gentilissimo perché mi ha scritto più volte per sapere come ci trovassimo e se avessimo bisogno di qualcosa, quindi a mio modesto avviso un Host perfetto!come dicevo la posizione è ottima per raggiungere a piedi Mont Saint Michael dalla campagna oppure dalla famosa passerella.mi fermo qui perché potrei elogiare questa struttura all' infinito però mi sento in dovere di scrivere una recensione ottima perché davvero ci siamo trovati BENISSIMO.STRACONSIGLIATA!Grazie Freddy😉🙏
