Old Vienna Apartments

We stayed at the standard apartment for 1 week and we couldn’t be more satisfied! The apartment was very cute and lovely decorated. It was very clean and with all the facilities we wanted (and more). Very comfortable bed and towels. There is a convenient entrance area with a coat rack where you can leave your luggage, bags, shoes, etc., keeping the main room comfortable to move around. There is air conditioning, which was a lifesaver. There was even a complimentary treat waiting for us in the room. The check-in process was very easy, and every time we had a question before or during our stay, the response was quick, friendly, and helpful. We were also able to leave our luggage in the building free of charge after check-out, which was very convenient. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The building and the neighbourhood are nice and quiet. There is a Villa super market, a kebab place, pizzeria etc close by. It is a 2-minute walk from the metro station and a 3-minute walk from the banks of the Danube River, where there are bars and restaurants. All of this at an excellent value for money!

The location was excellent, just a 3-minute walk from the metro station. The host was very cooperative, welcoming, and friendly.

Nothing

The apartment was clean and spacious with loads of room for storing belongings. It's got all the facilities you need for a short-term stay. Also the location was perfect - just a 20-minute walk from the city centre or 5 minutes on the metro. And if you're going to the concert at the Ernst Happel Stadium, it's close as well - about 10 minutes on the metro. Great value for money!

The location, Herminengasse, is my favourite area of Vienna hence my booking of this flat. I will strongly recommend this location for its vib and proximity both to Donau Canal and the city centre.

The sales pitch on Booking.com does however oversell the flat, which is tired and with no thrills. Skirting boards have fallen off, kitchen is 25 years old, in the overcrowded kitchen you will find both a football table, a double bed and a kitchen table with one of those old oilcloth your grandma used to have on her kitchen table. The telly, which does only have a few channels, is tiny and old. Lastly, during my two weeks in the flat there was no provision of fresh towels, linen or emptying of the bin...
