IMLAUER Hotel Nestroy Wien

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room and everything in it was superb and extremely roomy and comfortable. As well as an enormous double bed, there was a separate sofa (that was also a sofa bed), a small table with a couple of chairs and a separate desk, so everything you could want. The patio doors from the room opened out onto an internal balcony round the courtyard looking down on the bar below, so very quiet but also a nice view of the rest of the building. Location was superb with restaurants just a few doors along - the pizza place along the road is very good. Subway station only a few minutes away, and a small supermarket as well. We had a mishap with a wine glass and the staff were superb in cleaning it up, and even gave us slippers from the spa in case there was any broken glass on the floor until the housekeepers gave the floor a complete hoover the next day.

That we couldn't stay longer

The room was lovely. Really good size with plenty of storage space. There were also kitchen facilities including a microwave which I thought was great. The bathroom was also a very good size. Check in was quite quick.

Unfortunately, the lift only goes to the 5th floor and I was on the 6th. This is the only downside but it is significant as it means that customers with heavy pieces of luggage have to carry them up a flight of stairs which was less than ideal. That part of the hotel would benefit from better signposting as there are two different sets of stairs to get to parts of the 6th floor and I ended up on the wrong staircase initially (with heavy suitcases).

It was a nicely located hotel, lovely helpful staff. Room was nice and clean and good facilities and breakfast - all what you can ask for for a holiday stay. Requests and enquiries were dealt with efficiently.

The air con wasn't sufficient on the 1st night even tho we had turned it on max. Was resolved when a technician came to check on it the nx day . Quite cheeky to list the hotel as 2 different hotels/buildings at diff prices on Booking.com but use same facilities - why cant they mention its the same hotel so people will book the cheaper option ! So effectively, I paid more than my friends for the same period and they got a bigger better room !!

Great location and staff

Mini bar was dirty and the carpet had after-coffee mark
