Mestiatour Guest House

We stayed two nights at Mestiatour Guesthouse and had a wonderful experience. We arrived in the evening and were greeted warmly with tea and homemade cake, instantly feeling at home thanks to Laura and Giorgi’s hospitality. The twin room was very clean and excellent value for money. We arrived on the Old New Year (14 January) and were kindly invited to join their family dinner, enjoying delicious Georgian and Svanetian home-cooked food. This was a truly genuine local experience that no price can match. Tea and coffee were always available, and we could also use the kitchen to prepare our own food. The location is perfect, very close to Seti Square where buses and vans stop, and within walking distance of the museums. The view of the snowy mountains from our room window was beautiful. Mestia is a lovely medieval town and especially pretty in winter. We would definitely come back and stay here again.

We loved everything, but if we had to mention something that could be improved, there could be more toilet paper provided in the bathroom, though this was not an issue for us. The Wi-Fi could also work better, which is understandable given the location.

The lady who received us was very welcoming, offering us tea and coffee all the time and making us feel comfortable.
