Tagus Apartments by Lisbon Village Apartments

Beautiful view, heater was strong, kitchenette was small but quite usable. Shower had good water pressure, bed was quite firm but we slept alright on it.

Door is in a state of disrepair (hard to unlock/open, disintegrating and held together with box tape??) Living room chairs were not the greatest, would have preferred a couch. Pillows were flimsy, and there were only two of them. Shower (despite having good water pressure) runs out of hot water quickly. The included "free airport taxi" was just a guy with a car who didn't know the roads well enough to get us closer than 1km from the apartment, so we had to drag our suitcases uphill on cobblestones in a torrential rainstorm. When we arrived, the window of the apartment was wide open and there was a big puddle of water on the floor. We called the host asking for more towels; he said he would send someone the next day, but nobody came for several days so we had to figure out our own solution. There was no convenient place to hang wet coats/clothes/towels to dry; we had to get creative with that... Basically, don't expect luxury or high-quality customer service. If you are self-sufficient positive thinker, you might still enjoy this place.

The clearing staff were very helpful, taking our suitcases up the stairs. Good flat.

Location is great! Very central in Alfama, you can easily walk around town from here. The apartment was clean and spacious enough for 3 nights. Very easy to get the keys, clear instructions.

The communication with the host was ok, but could have been better. There were a few times when I waited for a response on Whatsapp or Booking for way too long, and when I pointed it out, they were defensive about it, while I think they should have just apologized and moved on. Regarding the apartment, the space is ok, but it could use additional storage space. For example, there is an empty wall next to the front door where they could have easily put coat hangers or a fullsize mirror. Also, there is an empty space below the bathroom sink where they could have put drawers for extra storage. The bathroom itself is a bit weird, it could be more private, it has semi-transparent glass "walls", so you can easily see or hear what the person inside is doing.

Amazing location, stunning view, small fridge and coffee maker.

The loft (where the bed is) was very dusty and dirty. In the shower was only a large bottle of some kind of soap.
