Dubrovnik Finest Apartments

The location of the apartment was very convenient to the Pile Gate and for everything we wanted to do. The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The AC worked well (and very needed for the hot weather). The host was very helpful, communicated well, and even provided a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. We would stay there again.

The only thing that was a bit challenging was the number of stairs up to the apartment (45). We weren't prepared for that but managed OK.

Loved the apartment. So clean with excellent facilities. Close to the old town and bus station. The apartment was really spacious with a great bathroom.

Location was right outside Pile gate. Although we had to climb three levels of stairs the room was large, beautifully furnished and extra clean. Bed was comfy and although we didn’t use the kitchen it looked well stocked.

Communication with owner was good before arriving in Dubrovnik. Location was great in terms of proximity to all the main sites, bus stops, a little pebble beach - which was perfect for a quick swim and a few nice cafes/bars to have a coffee or drink in before heading into the old town. The room was basic, but clean.

We were expecting a room like it shows in the photos on the booking.com site. We thought we were getting an 'apartment' with high ceilings, plenty of light and a table plus 'kitchenette' which it clearly states on the site. These are the reasons we booked it, on top of the location of course. What we got was a dark, ground floor room with a fridge and kettle. This was extremely disappointing versus our expectations. When I rang the owner to discuss she said she could see the confusion as previous guests had had the same confusion. I asked her what we could do about it and she told me I'd have to ring Booking.com and sort it out. Bearing in mind, we'd just arrived off a very early flight, this wasn't what I thought I'd be doing upon arriving in Dubrovnik. I would have assumed that the owner would sort any issues out. I spent the next hour trying to get in touch with Booking.com who then clearly stated the owner should resolve any issues. So she then contacted Booking.com who simply confirmed our booking. She missed the point that it was very misleading and not at all how it looked in the photos. We wouldn't have otherwise booked this place. Eventually we gave in and got on with what we had, but it was very disappointing. In addition, the hot water ran out 3-4 times during the stay and it was quite noisy at nights with people loitering in the street outside the window.
