Vlachos Apartments Acharavi

Maria, the owner, is a very helpful and nice person, we love that about people. Although our flight was delayed and we arrived late in the night, we found the accomodation very quickly as Maria sent us everything we needed to know (location and parking spot) through whatsapp so we wouldn’t have to check google maps a million times. The apartment was right on the beach, they offer free sunbeds and an umbrella, the yard is beautifully decorated and there are a lot of flowers everywhere. The place is very clean and close to many good restaurants and beach bars. Totally recommend the place!

What a spot. Amazing location close to lovely restaurants along the front and a quick walk to the main part with more great restaurants, bakery etc. The apartment was spotless and well appointed. The seaview fab and listening to the waves. Maria was so welcoming and helpful with booking a boat charter. The free sunbeds and umbrellas were perfect.

Our stay at Vlachos was a highlight of our vacation to Greece. Maria, our host, was helpful, accommodating and very friendly. We stayed in an ocean view suite which was very comfortable, spacious and clean. We loved sitting out on the patio when we weren't down relaxing on the beach or enjoying a swim amongst the waves of the ocean! Beach lounges are provided. There are also plenty of amenities conveniently within walking distance, (restaurants, gift shops, grocery stores etc). If you have a car and feel like exploring, Kassiopi to the east and Sidari to the west are easily accessed. We found Vlachos a perfect place to relax.

The location is unbeatable – right on the beach, just a step away from the sea. The studio is small but fully equipped with all the necessary amenities. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like the mosquito nets and the air conditioning with a heating function. A magical highlight of our stay was the fireflies – for a couple of nights, we could watch hundreds of them glowing, which was simply incredible. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and we were pleasantly surprised by the daily housekeeping. The staff was lovely, and the host provided excellent recommendations for local shops and restaurants. The view from the balcony is simply breathtaking. The beach feels quite private with free sunbeds, and while it's pebbly on the shore, the seabed is sandy. Having secure free parking on-site was a big plus, and Acharavi town is only 0.5 km away.

The kitchen equipment could be a bit more extensive. It would be very helpful to have a small, sharp paring knife with a straight blade. We also missed having more glassware, specifically beer mugs and glasses for cocktails or whiskey. Lastly, the TV is quite small and outdated; we couldn’t connect a laptop or phone to it. Upgrading to a modern Android TV would be a fantastic improvement.
