The New Inn

Staff were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Great atmosphere and yummy food. Very comfortable nights sleep. Parking at rear of hotel was great and well lit.

Floors a bit creaky (hopefully not too noisy for the room below us) and bath also creaked when having a shower.

The warm welcome, excellent guidance through a quirky building, and outstanding beers from the on-site brewery. Andy was particularly helpful, ordering my taxis via his landline.

Not the fault of the establishment, but lack of phone connectivity

Everything we needed , the toiletries were a nice touch . Food at the New Inn was really good that the breakfast very nice . Great walks to do on the doorstep. We stayed in one of the dog friendly small cottages

There was nothing that we did nt like

Lovely quiet place beautiful views pub was very picturesque

The mattress was in a poor state the springs have definitely gone on one side I opened the wardrobe door to hang clothes up was greeted with stained duvets piled on the suitcase rack and old bedding so I did not hang my clothes up in there had to hang them on the door on the flip side it was clean and had all the basics I expect but was let down by the basic housekeeping Breakfast was very good would not recommend the evening meal they did not have the staff to run it 3 tables in the restaurant were in use and all of us had problems plus no staff in sight to deal with them we gave up left our meal which was awful and went to the bar to pay I did get a refund for my meal but it ruined the evening
