K's House Ito Onsen - Historical Ryokan Hostel

A traditional ryokan at a great price. Friendly staff, a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy community space, and a location within walking distance of the station. The ryokan itself is already an attraction, with an atmosphere that felt comparable to the Tokaikan next door. The rentable private onsen is another great plus!

As this is a traditional building, sound insulation is very limited. As a result, the sleeping experience can vary significantly depending on your neighbours and their schedules. Earplugs are provided, but they may not be as helpful if you rely on an auditory alarm or find earplugs uncomfortable. The shoe rack is not strictly monitored, so your designated spot may occasionally be taken by another guest even if you have already placed your shoes there. Perhaps using name stickers for each guest’s stay period could help prevent this? Theres option to put your shoe inside a plastic bag and bring to your room if you don't mind the plastic waste+smells. The wooden floors also make quite a bit of noise due to the building’s age, which can make it difficult for guests who are trying to walk quietly.

What an amazing house

Amazing stay at K’s house, traditional Ryokan with public & private onsen. Very clean, beautiful and nice staff. 15/10 recommend!

Shared bathroom but it was still very clean so not a huge deal for 2 nights

The room was a good size and the balcony looking over the river was fabulous. Such good value for money for a family of four. The kitchen and dinning area with river views were also very nice. The private onsen was a treat and very clean.
