The room was a good size and the balcony looking over the river was fabulous. Such good value for money for a family of four. The kitchen and dinning area with river views were also very nice. The private onsen was a treat and very clean.

Incredible magical stay in this historic building,wonderful communal spaces to enjoy as well as generous private spaces. The onsen were clean and staff so helpful. You must try the Suntory bar down the road too, a hidden gem!

The ryokan is simply beautiful and it emanates this peaceful japanese vibe that we travelled to Japan for. It’s old and traditional but at the same time it offers all that one needs. It was my first visit to an onsen and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff is very nice and helpful.
