Beautiful. Peaceful. Clean. Wonderful experience.

Both pools were clean and clear water. Rooms were cleaned daily. Grass is very well looked after, and facilities are clean.

There was a rowdy crowd, which disturbed the peace a little. The bar was very understaffed and i felt very sorry for the bar tender. He really tried his best, but noone should be under so much pressure.

I felt very uncomfortable having to ask ALL my adult guests for they ID's when I checked in. I really feel that just getting the main person that made the booking's ID is enough.

We had the best family time imaginable

Breakfast was lovely. The staff made special arrangements for my grandchildren. The menu was varied and we all could choose what we felt like. Location is just the best view ever.

We were totally happy. We did not have breakfast there every day, as it could become expensive after a while.

It was wholesome and I am grateful to Blue Bay lodge for our time spent there.

The rooms were clean and we had easy access to the pool and beach. I also liked the variety of food options for breakfast. This resort is very suitable for families and kids.

Some of the waiters/ servers could work on their customer service a bit more, in terms of how they communicate with guests. The table cloths of the dining area were dirty all of the times we ate there, so regular hygiene checks would be appreciated- especially in an eating area.

The location is stunning, with beautiful views and such a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and attentive, which made me feel right at home. I especially appreciated how comfortable and well-kept the rooms were, and the food was excellent. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable experience that I’d happily recommend to others.

Our stay was very enjoyable and we will definitely visit again.

Thank you for the extra attention to our room in view of our anniversary celebration. The food was good, although some salads would have been nice on the menu. The bar menu could do with some finger snacks, eg chicken wings, riblets, samoosas and spring rolls. Nibly bits are always nice, especially while we were watching the rugby @ the bar. We appreciate the extra effort to give us a sandwich and chips when we were too late for breakfast menu. Burger menu was really nice and food was tasty overall.

The only suggestion is that maybe the warm pool can stay open for use a little later. I think closing a warm pool at 7pm is a bit too early for me.

If a room is advertised with wifi and hot water then that is the expectation. I did not have any wifi and their excuse was that they have to buy a new router. Why charge you for a room with wifi. I did not have warm water at all. Their excuse was that there is something wrong with the sun panels and they are a “green” establishment!! Not good enough. Furthermore I had to pay a breakage deposit of R1000 which is ridiculious! I was one person for 1 night!! The only thing that could break is a cheap glass in the room. Before I left the room was even checked if there were any breakage or if I have stolen anything in the room. This was done while I was in the room. Furthermore there were power failures the whole evening in the lodge. Never ever will I make use if this lodge again!!

Amazing service all around

Our stay was absolutely amazing, we’ll definitely be coming back! The view, the pristine resort, and the overall atmosphere were incredible, but what truly stood out was the staff. From opening the heated pool whenever we asked, to the restaurant team who made my daughter feel extra special by setting up a movie night for her — complete with popcorn and personally bringing her meals and drinks while she watched , every detail was handled with such warmth and care. It’s rare to experience this level of thoughtful, genuine service these days. While the facilities and location are stunning, it’s the wonderful people who work here that will make us return.

There was nothing i did not like.; For merely mentioning purposes, please make people aware of the speedbumps. With a dropped car, it can be a problem.

Light flicker in the room Curtains had mold Shower incredibly small Bathroom as small No feather duvets No air-condition The friday night, I never slept it was so cold, and that thin light terrible duvet It was definitely not worth the money, and they asked for an R1000 breakage deposit, which was stipulated somewhere in the very fine print, I never saw it, so imagine my shock when I got to reception. And the deposit only gets paid back within 7 working days.

We had dinner at their Blue Bay Cafe. The food was great. Ordered mussels and pork belly. Both were prepared very well.

The policy of the place is outdated. They still asked for breakage deposit and ID's for ALL the people coming to stay. The seashore facing the lodge was stinky with kelp.

A family seaside getaway

Absolutely loved the location, the views, the amazingly friendly staff and the restaurant food was so yum! We spent hours on the tennis court and my fussy teens loved the gym. We loved the indoor braai as they helped with not having to go outdoors in the cold.

The pool is warmer but not warm enough for cold winter days. Think room temp water on cold days as opposed to hot springs water temps. Everything was amazing I just missed a comfy couch to sit on near the fire place as the wooden stick ones in our chalet did not provide that much comfort. Other than that amazing.

It would have been nice to have a TV in the lounge and also mats as the cement floors are extremely cold in winter as well as another heater in the lounge. The restaurant should also look at offering pizza as the food options were limited so we only ended up eating there on Friday evening when we arrived and the rest of the time we ate at the mall or went to Mykonos.

Enjoyed walks at the beach right in front of the hotel in the morning and the evenings. Facilities are clean and spacious. Staff are friendly. Seafood was delicious.

The location is good

The place is very noisy, we got little sleep as the alarm gets activated and deactivated through out the night. Sounds of other guests are travelling through the thin walls. I was ask to pay a breakage fee which still hasnt been refunded. the breakage fee is absurd because there is little in the room that can be broken. There is no aircon or hairdryer. Food is average, apart from one excellent waiter the other staff wasnt much helpful.

The rooms are great. The restaurant beautiful and food was delicious. The staff was friendly and excellent service. The ceiling fan in Room 19A needs to be replaced. It is old and makes a lot of noise.
