I managed to get a good deal for single room, shared bathroom n window facing back garden. my room is in the casa hotel.
The room deco exactly as in the pic (green bed cover). yes, it looks a lil dated, but kinda fits venice vibe. I think the glass chandelier in from from Murano. bed n pillow were comfy. room a lil compact, but no issue with skinny me.
The dude who sorted my checkin helped a lot, friendly guy sorted me a kettle. other staff were friendly too.
location close too train stn n waterbus stops.
Honestly i think having hotel NOT facing the canal is good idea. imagine the boat noises whole night.
If anything for improvement, maybe add some hooks(paste behind door)

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained, making us feel comfortable and at home throughout our visit. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile and ensure our needs were met. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our experience. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

It's a good location if you allow for 3 flights of stairs to get up to it which is not great after a long day sightseeing. Luggage needs to be carried up 3+ flights of steeps stairs also.
If you want the truth. The room was EXCEPTIONALLY small. The ensuite was nice enough but bedding is an old style scratchy blanket with a sheet that slips. Plus a dated bedspread that is supposed to be your fire blanket if you have a fire. The fire stairs being in the middle of the building. A nice clean cosy duvet would have been appreciated, with the fireproof bedspread over if necessary. But that is not what you get.
The TV was either very difficult to use or didn't work, room was full of mosquitoes so I had to ask for a plug in mossie repellent after the first night of getting bitten continually. Wifi works well.
It is BASIC but on the island!
