Hotel Falkenturm

Excellent location, old city center. Cozy 3 bedroom apartment (2 bedrooms double + 1 bedroom single) + plus living room with TV and outside terrace. Conf. beds, strong cooling, good wifi, good shower, cold drinks (red wine was surprisingly good) in vending machine on ground floor, friendly staff took care about our bags storage (free of charge) as we arrived early and left late.

Small details only: 1. It was impossible to turn off cooling. Within 30 seconds it started again, whatever we tried. It was not a problem due to heat outside and nobody sleeping in living room. Air cond. is only in living room but its enough to cool other rooms just leaving doors open overnight 2. Air extraction from toilet would help with comfort. There is a roof window that can be raised by pressing a key, but nature works in opposite way with natural air flows when its much hotter outside than inside. 3. Refrigerator had glass door and bright light does not go off when door is closed. It serves as night light when nobody sleeps in living room. 4. Room caretaker forgot to empty waste bin from previous guests. 5. The TV had long list of TV channels but all were only showing black screen. Streaming from phone to TV was OK. 6. There was no towel heater/dryer in bathroom so towels were good for single use only 7. The tap in the sink was so low that it was possible to fill a kettle only transferring water with small glass 8. There was no opener in the room for Coke glass bottles sold in downstairs vending machine 9. Note the elevator goes to floor 3 and then its nice staircase to apartment on floor 5, that was fully OK for us as that gives extra privacy - the stairs lead only to apartment. This was responsibly listed in description so select something else if you cannot use stairs to go one floor up. These perhaps too perfectionistic details made it highly rated 9 instead of absolute perfect 10, but in general - beautiful apartment, beautiful welcoming small hotel with fair pricing - would be nice to return some day.

Where do I even begin? Our stay at Falkenturm Boutique Hotel was nothing short of exceptional, and it has firmly earned a spot on our list of all-time favorite places to stay. Let’s start with the beds — because they deserve their own paragraph. After traveling extensively, you develop a sixth sense for hotel beds, and these were remarkable. Truly some of the most comfortable we’ve slept in during any trip in recent memory. We woke up feeling genuinely rested every morning, which is a rarity on the road. The air conditioning was a dream. Perfectly controlled, whisper-quiet, and consistently effective — something that sounds simple but so many hotels get wrong. Not here. The room temperature was exactly what we wanted, every single night. But the crown jewel of this property is undeniably its location. Everything you could possibly want — incredible restaurants, local shops, cultural attractions, evening strolls — was right at our doorstep. We never once felt like we were hunting for something to do or somewhere to eat. The neighborhood itself became part of the experience, and Falkenturm sits at the absolute heart of it. The entire stay felt curated and considered, the way only a true boutique hotel can manage. This isn’t just a place to sleep — it’s a place that elevates your trip. We are already looking forward to our next visit and will be recommending Falkenturm to everyone we know.

The room was clean, and the location was very good.

This was a fairly surreal experience. When I arrived there was no one. The room was small and dark, there was no information in the room, there was no breakfast only vending machines. Everything on-line. Might be good for some people, not for me.
