About this cabin rental

Check Out our Cabin- It was Featured in Winston Salem Monthly Magazine November 2017 issue!

Our unique Cabin is a 3 bd, 3 ba with en suite/family room and comfy sofa bed for a fourth bedroom option. Sleeps 8 comfortably. Wifi, TV cable & Netflix, Amazon & Hulu. Fully equipped kitchen, laundry, large porches, great grill and wonderful secludedness. Lovely for a small family gathering to a magical stay-cation!

Our lodge was originally a small cabin, built in the 1930's. It is a modern equipped Home , with Ac/heat, and electric stove range and dishwasher yet still has all the original cabin charm from its birth. . it was kept in possession by the same family and in-laws and wasn't truly updated until the last few years. All the stone fireplaces and foundation you will see is original beautiful rock from our local and Historic Hanging Rock National Park.

The Property itself is nestled back away from the road down a long private drive in the woods. We do have neighbors but no one is that close. So if you want the feeling of getting away to the middle of practically nowhere, but be able to get to all the local hangs of Downtown, Arts District, Reynolda Village and Gardens, Wake Forest University which is only a mile away and major grocery stores including Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, in 10 min or less then you will enjoy staying here!

Beautiful views of oak trees and pines, and a great place to watch deer and sometimes see a few ground hogs foraging around. The cardinals and yellow finches are breathtaking and you are bound to have memorable mornings here sipping coffee or tea on one of our 3 beautiful stone porches!

The cabin has a special personality and loves to be admired and appreciated! With a cabin comes quirks sometimes even if everything is updated and modern conveniences are provided don’t be surprised if occasionally you come across a spider or a cobweb. They work fast and sometimes faster than we can clean. And we clean a lot!

With that said, We hope you leave your stay here feeling refreshed and treated well.

Specifics- 3 bd, 3 full ba with en suite/family room including a comfy queen sofa bed for a fourth bedroom option where the tv is located ( Wifi + Netflix + Roku ), laundry washer and dryer ( towels and sheets provided ), bathroom travel amenities, hairdryer etc. Large porches, great wood fired Grill, fully equipped kitchen ( , pots, pans, utensils, , sugar, coffee and teas. Mr. Coffee drip machine, toaster, microwave).

* for safety, Please know that there are stairs in our home. Most stairs are standard height but some are not up to typical modern day standards but they are sturdy and easily managed.

Really neat quirky old cabin, and we all enjoyed the charm of the uniqueness of it all. Beds were comfortable, loved the large dining room & fireplace. The pullout sofa would be better for kids tho and not for an adult. But I honestly think that’s a universal truth. It’s a cool old cabin and some of the furniture and chairs seemed to be of the same vintage. We did wish there newer chairs to sit in as the men in our family are all over 6ft tall. There were 2 comfy chairs for morning coffee that we enjoyed.Overall enjoyed the stay. Thank you.

Words simply cannot do justice to this incredible property. Yes, it is a cabin, but it is not like any cabin you may have experienced. Your passage to a fantasy land starts with the meandering drive through the rhododendrons and azaleas. The grounds are simply breathtaking and beautifully cared-for. Lots of areas outside to enjoy conversation, dining al-fresco or gathering around the fire pit. When you step through the front door, your first opinion is likely to be one of utter delight. The living room is charming and welcoming and features high ceilings (not your more typical early-1900's 7 ft ceilings) and plenty of room for a gathering. The dining room is just as expansive with a table that can accommodate the most elegant of dinner parties. The kitchen allows room to move around and enjoy numerous cooks in the kitchen or to pass on through to the lovely covered side porch to enjoy ample seating amongst the flowers. In addition to the 3 bedrooms (all are incredible in size and feature enchanting fireplaces), there is a family room upstairs for tv viewing that also can serve as a 4th bedroom with sleeper sofa. This property is definitely one you will be glad you chose. As provided in the description, there are short flights of stairs. So if you require handicap accessibility, this may not be your best fit. However, if you want to feel like you are hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet just moments away from Wake Forest, this should be your choice.

We had such a wonderful stay in North Carolina! The house was incredibly well-equipped, spacious, and perfectly suited for our needs. One of our favorite spots was the covered back porch—it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We also loved that corn hole and Jenga were provided, which made for some fun downtime. The hosts were fantastic—very responsive and readily available if we needed anything, which made the whole experience even smoother. We would absolutely stay here again if we’re back in the area. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved the ambiance of the cabin setting. It is such an amazing cabin with so much room, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining area. Love sitting outside on one of the four porch areas. The hosts are so kind and friendly! What a wonderful get away!
